I want to be honest and transparent up front. I have known Linda for 50 years and she is my son's Godmother. However, business is business and this review reflects her abilities as a real estate agent not as a long time friend.
Linda has been involved in several real estate deals over the years with me. She helped me find my first condo more than 30 years ago. She made sure I understood any probable assessment costs before buying and helped me find a one bedroom condo that I was happy with for years. After I met my now wife and we knew we would need a bigger place for her sons and our son that was on the way. Linda made excellent suggestions as to renovating and staging the condo to make it more appealing. As such, we got the asking price and she helped us find a house in New Westminster that met our size needs. We were able to get a house that was on transit lines, near schools, Queens Park , the pool plus the hospital and Skytrain. When we decided to divest ourselves of the house and relocate to the Capital Region District, Linda again made recommendations about renovations and staging that made the house have appeal. The renovations and location made the house sell quickly and Linda was able to put us in touch of an agent here that picked us up at the ferry and drove us around the CRD and helped us find a house we could buy outright with the profit from our sale in New West.
Any realtor/client relationship is symbiotic. The agent needs to hear your ideas while getting you the best fit and price. In terms of both places that were purchased, my desires were paramount. If Linda has any fault, it's that she always tries to save you money. However, location location location. Linda showed us many houses in Burnaby, New West and Coquitlam but in the end, it was what suited our needs and what we thought we could afford. Same when I bought the condo. So with Linda you get a second generation realtor with decades of experience, who will stick to your bottom financial line and help you find a home that fits your needs and hopefully some of your desires. Unless you have an unlimited budget, you are not getting everything unless you are extremely lucky. Purchasing real estate usually means some compromising and Linda understands that. Communicate the most important things to her and she will tailor your viewings to your desires. Finally, Linda was able to save us money on our house sale by recommending an excellent Notary Public for the transference of title.
