Extremely unprofessional service. I had an appointment to view a unit, but they rented it out without informing me. I had to call to confirm, and they didn't even apologize for the inconvenience.

They don't return calls or emails often.
The lady Leona who showed me the place was kind and replied in the beginning. Once I moved in there is very little communication from office. My dryer, fridge didn't work.. dryer still does not. Had to wait 3 weeks to get WiFi as I kept on being told that the company I chose had to go pick up the key and drop it off to gain access to basement. That would be a 2 hour time frame out of the installation time and they don't get paid for that. The third time I was to get WiFi there was still no one who left a key or showed up with one. A maintenance fellow had to gain entrance for them, not sent by Magnum.. I still have many smaller things to get done but thought I would try to get the biggest problems completed first. Oh had trouble getting a mail key as well as mail is not delivered to home. They attached an unnecessary mailbox to building.. I could go on but I will stop for now.

Wouldn't give them a star.
I moved into one of their units in the beginning of September, moved out by March 1st. In my time there I had someone break into my friends car, I asked them for months to look into the cameras and they couldn't be bothered, then after 4 months was finally told they only get a weeks worth of footage. We had a pest infestation and they had handled that but left an absolute mess in my unit and left all cupboard doors opened, when I tried to call about it, I was ignored.
I moved in one day and didn't have the time to do their entire cleaning list that they provided and just cleaned up what I could, missed some odd things here and there as well as I had fixed some of the things that were issues when I moved or small things out of my own pocket, other than leaving some things dirty, I left that place in better condition than I rented it in, they couldn't even be bothered to fix the blinds or put the window screen in the bedroom back in. Fast forward to getting my statement and wondering if I would get my $775 damage deposit back or at least some of it. Other than the regular charges I understand, they charged me $600 for carpet cleaning and then ignored my request for a receipt for proof of those charges, then overcharged me on top of that. No where should be charging $600 for carpet cleaning, especially for an apartment that barely had any carpet, I have seen houses cleaned for less than that, and that is including travel. I see this isn't the first time they have overcharged people looking at these reviews. I had also left a bad review when I was trying to move out and I was phoned by them and asked to take it down so their status goes up. Would not recommend Magnum York to anyone.
