Recently closed on a home and they had to redo the flooring in half of the house! They initially closed without our appliances! Terrible experience! Would give zero stars if I could!

Adding addendum - They commented on my review and advised me to reach out to their warranty team, but sadly it's all for show. Of course they're refusing to provide compensation and continue to brush off any responsibility. My father has been under tremendous stress and already has numerous health ailments. Shame on Mattamy for treating their customers this way! Stay away!

Edit/update:
They ask you to contact their customer or warranty services but it’s all for show. Nothing changed! I asked why our home was allowed to pass internal inspections with such major flooring issues and they’re silent! Over half of the flooring in the home needed to be redone but they refuse to provide any compensation!

Mattamy gave us such a wonderful experience, providing us with our dream home. We literally said something about how we might decorate our house and they had it done before we could even ask for it. Honestly the best service we’ve received from a builder!

Would put 0 if I could. Impossible to get in contact with respectful answers with this builder. Our contract states the work would be completed properly. It was not and they refuse to do anything about it.

My moisture barrier wasn't installed properly from installation. I'm the original owner. There is no way we could have known. It is more than 2 years that we've had our home and they keep saying it's out of warranty...but the warranty applies to completed work.

If work is done incorrectly than it is incomplete. How many people can pass off incorrect work as complete work to their bosses and clients? I can't.

All managers we've been in contact with so far have been dismissive and disrespectful, frustrating to no end and taking no responsibility. My home is being DAMAGED because of this! I'm out thousands of dollars because of how many corners were cut in this home. This was the last straw for us. This company doesn't have integrity of stand behind their work or that of their myriad of trusted contractors.

Pictures to come soon. I need this resolved but hopefully the walls of my house don't rot or crumble first. I have paid thousands for multiple experts tell me the same story: it's an unbelievable installation problem from day 1.

If you're looking to be abandoned by a homebuilder, not have contractually agreed upon work completed, ignored and treated like you're incompetent, this is the company for you.

Awful service and awful products. We feel robbed and won't be recommending this builder to anyone at all.

We are not happy. We bought a detached with ravine but later we found the builder used substandard material . Now we along with all other buyers are facing a continuous problem that the Mattomy is not providing satisfactory service after sale. The sides paths of the ravine are messed up with wild bushes of unexpected height . No one is there to care of it . When we talked to the city we were told that it has not yet been assumed by the city so the builder Mattamy is responsible for cleaning it . But the Mattamy is not responding to any complaint

Mattamy Homes has a dangerous Driver in their staff… This happened in Brampton
Earlier Today, Fri June 30th at 12:30 pm, I was in my vehicle on Ashbyfield Road northbound to Bovaird on right lane and during red light, this MattamyHomes RAM 1500 pickup license plate BT50542 driven by a white adult male, pulled up on red turning lane beside my vehicle, to my right, but on green light, aggressively cut into my lane without signal, dangerously pushed me out of my lane and turned right on Bovaird. This is a very discourteous unsafe staff driver that gives Mattamy Homes an unprofessional image.
I hope you know who this person is and is a danger on the road.
I will be sure to mention to everyone I know about this.

They are not at all transparent about the number of homes being released upfront.
If this information is available in advance buyers can decide in advance and not waste their valuable time.
There process is very very slow and inefficient.
Expected Mattamy to be more IT savvy to improve efficiency for better customer service to buyers.
The quality of houses is not what Mattamy used to ten years back.

I purchased a lot in phase 14 which was unsold they launched it with phase 15 and charged me phase 15 price instead . Everyone knows that on that day they will just make you sign the docs. I asked is this phase 14 price they said yes later I discovered it was not and I was given reply the agreement is binding we can’t do anything . They ROBBED $ 25000 . Guys there are other builders so many of them ,go and purchase from there ,they listen to you and have better building plans
And Mattamy actually don’t care about clients as they say that our lots are sold in line ups so we don’t care .

Every negative review here is on the mark. I wish I could give Mattamy 0 stars because they truly are the worst builder we have dealt with! First of all our house was completed over a year later than the expected completion date. When we did get possession of the home there were many things still incomplete. Missing shingles, unpainted doors, leaking faucets and a missing countertop. 1 year later, part of the roof has fallen off, more leaky faucets, unpainted doors still remain, missing racks, weird closing doors. Oh and the kicker, they never respond to emails or phone calls. The miraculous instance that they respond to an email and confirm an appointment for work done in your home, they dont show up! The amount of houses that are on sale here matches (or maybe exceeds) their incompetence levels. Buyer beware!
