I really don’t like writing negative reviews, but I really have to let you folks know.

Chris Karampela ghosted me - met with me, told me he would get our papers signed and contact my potential buyers for my business I am trying to sell then kept me in limbo for weeks.

This is week four and he now has someone else trying to track him down to help me out. I feel so strung along and wasted so much time. My potential buyers have been waiting for NDAs to be signed for three weeks. I thought he had contacted them - he hadn’t.

He was referred to me by TWO people - and he could have at least redirected me, told me he was busy and needed more time, or simply not taken my business. It’s so messed up - couldn’t even call me to apologize. A month of stringed along messaged making it look like he was doing something when he wasn’t.

I find it so funny now that he has another realtor trying to help him and he won’t even call her back. Not even able to organize a call but still trying to get his name on this sale.

Feels so greedy and just really wrong.
Cannot believe the kind of people who waste your time and don’t even care. It’s already been a stressful time, but this just makes it worse when you’ve waited for someone who doesn’t even care.

Worse, they avoided any sense of accountability and tried to tell me it’s my mistake. The gaslighting is unreal.

Don’t waste your time with these folks!

We sold our home in Calgary in April. James Statt was our realtor who provided excellent advice and service. We were able to get what we were asking for in a very short period of time. I always enjoyed dealing with James who was very professional as well as very friendly. I highly recommend James Statt as he knows the realty business inside out while caring for the customer as if he were family.

We listed our house for sale in October 2019, and immediately after started looking for a realtor to help us buy in a different location. After looking at experiences other people have shared on Facebook, we contacted Sandy from MaxWell Realty. Right from the start, she was an absolute gem and we knew we had the right person for the job. She was real with us, and was happy to take us to different houses to get a feel for what we wanted. After living in a tiny mid century bungalow for so long, we didn't really know!!

Unfortunately, COVID arrived before we could sell, and it took 9 long months to be able to move forward with anything. In that time, we solidified our vision, with Sandy's help. We had some very specific requirements to meet in regards to health and security, so it wasn't the easiest hunt. She picked up quickly on what we were looking for, however, and she knew what questions to ask to help us make decisions.

She was knowledgeable about the areas we were looking in, and quick to relay anything she knew about different areas. She pointed out things in houses we wouldn't have thought to look at, and she learned to read us very well and figure out if we were excited about a place before we even knew ourselves.

The only pressure we felt from her was to be absolutely sure we wanted to close a sale. She didn't want us to go through with something we might regret later (and we had a couple of close calls). She encouraged us to sleep before making any decision first.

And when it finally came to purchase time, we saw a different side of her. We found THE house we wanted, several months after finally selling our own. She was FAST, EFFICIENT and RUTHLESS. She worked hard to help us get a lower purchase price, and was willing to push for even more of a reduction than we were. She knows what cards to play and where to draw the line.

She made the process easy. She was very easy to communicate with throughout the entire time we worked with her, was fun to be around and made the game of the hunt fun instead of frustrating. She was super attentive to our needs and requests, and helped us get into the house we never would have dreamed of getting.

Finally, after nearly a year and a half of working with her, I am excited to be able to fire her as my real estate agent, because she did such a great job that we no longer require her services.

Horrible communication, as a tenant after the lease was signed. Never answers emails in a timely manner if ever, and when I do get a response only partial answers. They took months to respond to maintenance requests after multiple attempts to contact them.

There was a utilities screw up(our fault), we forgot to add gas and no one informed us for 8 months, they had secretly been adding utilities charges on and charging late fees for those. They charged late fees on top of late fees without providing us notice because we "should have checked the app" but god forbid they send us an email, phone call or reach out to their clients at all once they have a signed agreement.

Worst of all they took nearly my $2000 deposit mostly because of minor cleaning issues such as "dusty window screens and dirty baseboards" even after a deep cleaning, guess we missed a couple baseboards and window screens so $2000. If I knew life of a cleaner paid so well I would have picked a very different career. Lets hope the RTDRS helps me out for this. Highly recommend avoiding David and his team before you sign, despite how friendly they seem before you sign.
