Loved my moving process here. The team is the nicest people ever. Greg and Hannah helped so much. The residents are very nice. The apartment is so cozy and has everything I need. It’s well maintained and super beautiful. Love the elevators and all the amenities in this building. Everything is clean and well kept. No issues with feeling unsafe and uncomfortable. There is security 24/7 now and I see that they have improved the front desk quality! My apartment is super quiet for downtown and love the history of this building. Everything is what I wanted! Super grateful. Thank you Metro 417 ❤️

One of the great buildings of downtown Los Angeles. I visit here often as I have many cat sitting clients in the building. It's by far one of the most sumptuous buildings as far as their hallways are concerned. its infrastructure is newish but it's still slow and they have major problems with their elevators. Constructions going on all around it and their views are being obliterated as we speak. The apartments are cookie cutter and honestly kind of lackluster for what is available out on the market in downtown Los Angeles.

I’m sad to be giving Metro417 a bad rating. I’ve been living here since 2022 and have loved it until this year, when the management started making really terrible decisions 100% motivated by cost cutting. They have removed amenities such as the 24/7 concierge and amazon hub - so basically our packages are left out for anyone to steal. The security guards that have been hired literally have yet to provide any security - someone fully smashed in a window on the front door with a chair when the security guard was supposedly there. The management hasn’t risen to actually do anything about the several complaints by the residents other than send passive aggressive emails back saying that they have done their duty as landlords and we will just have to get used to the new system (as the rent still increases despite the loss of amenities).

Lived here for 2 years but moving out because this place is going downhill fast. The management company, Brookfield, could not care less about the tenants. Bail out while you can. Poorly managed. Unsafe. Not cleaned properly. Amenities are breaking down. I advise you find somewhere else to live.

I am a current resident of Metro 417. I have lived here since 2020. I love living in downtown and wish I didn’t have to give Metro such a low grade. Brookfield, who owns the building, has totally mismanaged it. They have taken away 24-hour concierge, failed to address major issues like elevator replacement (there is usually only 1 working elevator), removed plants from the whole building, removed the coffee service in the lobby, recently fired longtime cleaning and concierge staff, and made the building less welcoming, safe, and hospitable for residents. My husband had his bike stolen and was not notified by management that there had been a break-in in the bike room, people who don’t live in the building have gotten into the building and displayed concerning behaviors and showed sign of drug use, and recently someone living on the street died in the driveway for one of the parking garages. I understand that living downtown has its own risks but Brookfield has made the situation worse because of its lack of clear communication and failure to address the concerns of tenants. Additionally Brookfield has not taken proper care of this historic building by drilling into the marble in the lobby and using aggressive cleaners on the marble floors. I had a friend interested in moving into the building but I told her not to because of these issues. I am very sad about these changes at Metro and hope that Brookfield will do something to resolve them. If you are considering moving into Metro 417, I would recommend you look elsewhere.

I looked at several buildings in the metropolitan downtown area. I chose Metro 417 because it has that old nostalgic Los Angeles texture deeply embedded in its detailed walls and hallways. The moving in was simple. It has to be the friendliest staff I have ever encountered. Greg the leasing agent was terrific, friendly, and polite. The manager Emma was extremely helpful and professional. In doing the walk through my new apartment. I met with 2 engineers Dutch and Justin. Really down-to-earth cool guys. Great staff can't wait to start my journey.

Current resident. Don't move in here. There is no one at the front desk anymore and it is very easy for anyone to wander in. Management is no where to be found. This used to be such a great building.

I used to love living here, before Derek became the manager. Crime is up, we have break-ins all the time and we have no front desk staff in the evenings and early morning. The only building downtown without 24.7 security. Save yourself the headache and move to 825 S Hill or Park Fifth.
