Worst landlords ever. DON'T DEAL WITH THEM. You'll regret it for sure. They have empty spaces/units for over 5-10 years and they still can't lease it out because they are so hard to deal with. They also force you to terms and conditions that is disadvantages to the tenant, like repairing the building (which is the landlord's duty) or fixing existing problems left by the old tenant. They also hold your security deposit and won't returning it back to you claiming that they've found problems with the unit.

I have been waiting for the return of my damage deposit for the commercial bay I leased for 7 MONTHS. I was out of the bay and the end of September 2023 and its May 1st and I have not received anything but excuses from the landlord. I have been told I have not been paid because the 2023 reconciliation has not been completed. I took video of everything in perfect working condition as well as many pictures showing no damage to the unit. I highly suggest doing this to anyone leasing from Metrowest. I will provide an update when the landlord decides to get around to giving me back my deposit.

Worst landlords. Stay away from them. Look at their units, a lot of them have been empty for years, some decades. Yes, they have a few anchors and big tenants like banks and big name retailers, but they'll unfairly treat the small business owners and tenants. They will not help you and force you to fix problems in your unit that aren't yours to begin with. Also, they hard to reach when there are issues that needs attention. Unlike other landlords or management companies, they are so behind with technology and you will be dealing with a company from 1980s, making it very inefficient to deal with them. After our lease ended, they didn't even do a walk through to ensure that the unit had no issues and that our security deposit would be refunded in full. Instead, we moved out on our own, with no one from Metrowest visiting us. After 2 months of chasing after them for our security deposit, they then said that light bulbs weren't working and that other issues with the unit required repairs, which is unreasonable since we left 2 months ago and who knows, who's responsible for those repairs. No pictures, no evidence, just made things up. Some of their so called repairs were present before we moved into the unit and we just accepted it as it, but they then made us responsible. They are very hard to negotiate with and very unreasonable.

Worst landlord ever. Don't use them. The owner neglects tenants, tries to rip them off, doesn't accommodate at all. At the end of my lease, Myron the owner kept my security deposit claiming that there she needed to remove light fixtures that was in place when I moved in. She also claims that there were burnt out bulbs that needed replacing when I moved out. She had a list of things that was wrong with my unit, but no one from Metrowest came by on my last day to walk through the unit together. Instead, they waited until I moved out for several months before bringing up these made up issues or issues that occurred after I had moved out. YOU'LL REGRET USING THEM AS YOUR LANDLOWRD!!! GUARANTEED

Highly unethical. DO NOT rent from these people. After being told by their former management company (who no longer works with them) that they recommended that my deposit be returned in full, I instead received an invoice for things that were damaged PRIOR to me moving in to the apartment. No wonder their phone is forwarded to an automated voicemail. As I have moved out of the country, it would be difficult to attempt reimbursement at this stage. So instead, I will try and do others a service by warning them of this company. Stay clear of these people.

DO NOT rent an apartment at 720 15th Ave SW Calgary OR their other building at 720 14th Ave SW Calgary.

Took my damage deposit and billed me for an additional $1,000, due to damage to the carpets that were there when I moved in. Lawyer recommended that I just pay, as legal fees to fight them would exceed that original amount. Bad business practices, lazy rental management company, poorly maintained buildings. Avoid renting from them.

Do not use or trust these people. Property not maintained, poor communication at best. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere. There's a reason you can't pop in to their office. They hide in there and return calls only if they want to.

So happy to see that my old space remains vacant. Hope it sits empty for years to come. They deserve it.
