It's a complete disappointment, with incompetent office staff and a concierge, and there's a constant problem with parking spaces. People try to drive in every day, but the stupid gate system doesn't work. I've been writing emails to the office management and the concierge for five days in a row, but there's no response. It's a complete disregard for complaints, and they pretend everything is fine. I don't recommend staying here, let alone buying an apartment. Everything is done on a shoestring budget, and if you're willing to waste your time and energy, this is the place for you.

The constant fire alarms is a serious deterrent for anyone wanting to have a comfortable time living here. Hot water will occasionally stop working. The units have weird layouts. I purchased a 3-bedroom unit but an appraisal was done soon after I moved in & my unit and I'm guessing a lot of others was quoted a lot less than the original purchase cost.

A Cautionary Tale of Moving into Nordic Condos, 500 Wilson, North York!

When I moved into Nordic Condos at 500 Wilson in North York on June 1, 2024, I expected a safe, comfortable, and accommodating living environment. Unfortunately, my experience has been anything but that, and I feel compelled to share my story to warn others considering this place.
As someone who values health and well-being, I work out 3 to 4 times a week, focusing on jump rope exercises, stretching and yoga. Imagine my shock when I discovered the gym's ceiling is so low that my jump rope brushed against the ceiling during my workouts. Unfortunately I did not notice how low it was when I was inspecting the condo prior to the lease as it only comes to one’s awareness when one is working out while they hit their body or equipment in the ceiling. I'm only 5'6"! I’m at a loss for words wondering how anyone taller is supposed to use this gym comfortably? I could touch the ceiling if I stretched my arms up—that’s how low it is.
Another serious issue arose when I used the Smith machine. There is absolutely no space between the handlebars and the ceiling, which resulted in me injuring my ring finger while trying to grab on to the handles. This is a glaring safety hazard, nor is there any space to pull yourself up as the head knocks on the ceiling! Yet I refrained from making a formal complaint initially, hoping to avoid problems in my new home that I just moved into.
The negligence of the condo management in providing a safe workout space is alarming. Last Friday, the assistant property manager, Julia Saper, confronted me in the gym and informed me that jump rope exercises were not allowed due to the low ceiling of the gym and they couldn’t keep up with the paint touch ups caused by my rope touching the ceiling. This rule is not mentioned in my lease nor the condominium rules or anywhere inside the gym. When I explained my injury from the Smith machine, Julia dismissed the issue, stating that the management isn't responsible for the building's construction.
I requested a formal written explanation of these arbitrary rules and voiced my concern about the misleading information provided to tenants. This morning, I spoke with Shanta Ram Sapkota, the Condominium Manager, who informed me that I wasn't allowed to bring my own equipment to gym which he said to me by pointing at my jump rope. This seemed like another rule the management made up on the spot. I requested a formal written explanation of these arbitrary rules and voiced my concern about the misleading information provided to tenants expressing my frustration and willingness to move out, as the environment was not what I agreed to live in. I also asked for a refund for the trouble of my moving expenses as they have clearly wasted my time and money, which was flatly denied, and I was told to contact my landlord for any expenses.
Adding to the stress, the condo conducts uninformed fire alarm testing that starts at 5:30 AM, which continues for hours, it is now 12,46pm and the fire alarm is still going on as I write. As a student who studies and works from home, these alarms are highly disruptive and create a stressful atmosphere that is not conducive to productivity or well-being.
To sum it all up Nordic Condos at 500 Wilson has proven to be a significant disappointment. The management’s negligence in ensuring a safe and functional gym, coupled with their arbitrary and misleading rules, makes living here a frustrating experience. The early morning fire alarms only add to the daily stress. If you value your health, well-being, and peace of mind, I strongly advise you to reconsider moving into this building.
Avoid Nordic Condos if you want a hassle-free living experience. Share this review to warn others and help them make an informed decision.

Waking up at 4AM to a false fire alarm with strobe lights and blaring alarms just for them to announce 3 times at a loud volume that it’s a false alarm.

This doesn’t account for the fact that these false alarms go off AT LEAST once every other day….

Construction noise every weekday at 7am all the way until 5pm.

Being told 4 months ago that the parking garage electronic arms will be installed, just for them not to install them for 4 months when they randomly decide to do it one day with ZERO notice. And these
Parking garage electronic arms are constantly down and not properly scanning car plate to let them in.

Tenants who constantly litter off their balconies and dump dirty water on units below them.

Parking garage flooding

Lack of response or care from property manager

Stupid layouts for the units

Hot water system regularly not working during the winter.

Uber drivers constantly blocking the entrance to the parking garage

There’s no good reason to move here, it has so far been the worst rental experience I’ve ever had in the past 10 years I’ve been renting. From the lack of care from management to the carelessness and idiotic decisions by other tenants, it’s absolutely awful you might as well be living in the infamous ICE condos downtown…..

I Will NEVER recommend this to anyone. I warn people who have inquired to me about this building to not waste their money because this is an absolute joke.

Avoid renting from this condo. Good reviews were based on before construction finished.
Living experience is HORRIBLE by every tenants.

1. Unreasonable number of false fire alarm, expected to happen even during midnight!
2. Constructions all the time.
3. Poor management, underground parking exits but be cautious about your belongings.

Ps. Don’t get tricked by the look of units and amenities

This building is suck, and management teams are extremely lazy and incompetent. The fire alarm rings at 4 am with no reason. Even after the construction period they announced, everyday the uninterrupted drilling noises can still be heard at noon.

I moved into Nordic Condos at 500 Wilson Ave seven months ago, and I can confidently say this has been the worst decision I have ever made. I am already making plans to move out because living here has been nothing short of a nightmare.

First and foremost, the fire alarm tests happen every single day—yes, daily—and they go on for hours. This is beyond excessive and completely unreasonable. In any properly managed building, fire alarm tests are typically conducted once a month, but here, you’re forced to endure alarms almost every day. Imagine trying to work or, relax, or simply have peace of mind, only to have your day constantly disrupted by these never-ending alarms. To make matters worse, there are no email notifications or prior warnings—they just start blaring without notice.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, there’s no hot water most days. I pay my bills like everyone else, yet I’m forced to take ice-cold showers before heading to work in the morning. It’s absolutely ridiculous that such a basic necessity is not being provided in a modern condo building. What exactly are we paying for? Hot water should never be a luxury in a residential building, yet here, it seems like one.

Between the relentless fire alarms and the lack of hot water, this place has become unbearable to live in. I’ve tried to be patient, but it’s clear that management does not care about the residents. There’s no transparency, no communication, and absolutely no regard for the well-being of the people who live here.

If you’re considering moving here, think again. I wouldn’t wish this experience on my worst enemy. This building is run horribly, and I deeply regret ever signing a lease here. If you value your sanity, avoid this place at all costs.
