We cannot say enough about the amazing team from New Victorian Homes ...you guys are fantastic...one of a kind team and we are so very lucky to have you guys build our home...thank you Max, Ian, Lauren, Danielle, Melvin, Jim and subcontractors, Gary and his team, the plumbers, electricians and demo team, you guys are absolutely amazing.

We appreciate each and everyone of you so much.

To say we are pleased with our new home is an understatement...we love our home and are delighted to see it completed...and ahead of schedule I will note, which we appreciate. The workmanship is number one and we would recommend New Victorian Homes to anyone looking to have their dream home built. When we decided to build our new home with New Victorian Homes it was clear from the start that they wanted the best for us. From choosing one of their signature designs to our final walkthrough we were heavily involved in every step. Throughout our build we were given frequent updates and reminders to keep us on track. We are so in love with our new home and we have made great connections with our New Vic team. We are also proud to put the first Ferryland design into motion; we love the functionality and luxury that this home brings. I regret to say that both the build process and the move-in experience were not as smooth as I had hoped. This is particularly disappointing given that it was the most significant purchase of my life, a major relocation, and my first experience with a new build. There were numerous delays, which I understand can happen, but the lack of communication made the situation incredibly stressful. Moving from another province and having to rearrange everything without a stable home added to the challenge.

Moreover, I’m still facing issues with my home that are under warranty, and unfortunately, not much has been addressed. The main issue being a water leak that happened back at the start of the summer that caused a lot of water damage. This issue was also noted during my one-year walkthrough about two months ago, but I still haven’t had any follow up. In general, things were rushed for me to move in and finishing touches were not done properly. This is disappointing with the holidays approaching and visitors coming and the state of things after a year.

On a positive note, I want to acknowledge the kindness and helpfulness of the workers on the build sites and the contractors; I would definitely rate them 5 stars!

Very customer oriented and professional to deal with. Any issues were dealt with promptly. The foreman of our house, Max, went above and beyond to get us into our home a week early because we had a deadline to move from our old location. A five star organization from top to bottom. I highly recommend this builder if you are looking.

Review after 18months of ownership. 7-figure custom 4,600 sq. ft+ three story home in Clovelly Estates, New Vic was the GC. Foundation laid Nov 2020, and covered for the winter. Construction on the foundation, Feb 2021, and occupancy end of Dec 2021. Also built a 400 sq. Ft. fully insulated and finished shed in the backyard; took 8 months. Working with the entire New Vic team has been an excellent experience! This team and all the subs really care a great deal about the quality of product they put out, and really pay attention to the details. We had a tremendous amount of requests, and New Vic always accommodated us, and implemented our requests. We really pushed the boundaries with our new build, including custom cabling laid in the walls, soundproofing between floors and rooms, even weird electrical requests - this team took every request in stride, and didn’t blink an eye when implementing. There are some builders in town that focus on speed of building, and as a result installation isn’t always perfect. Our neighbour bought a spec home from one of these “speed builders” and 2 months after moving in, their flooring had to be replaced because it failed - this was a $27,000 job for them. No such issues with our new vic house! What we really enjoyed working with New Vic was that all of our ideas and desires were discussed thoroughly and agreed on - none of the requests were made were scoffed at. Everything we requested no matter how idiotic we felt were discussed with seriousness, and then suggestions were made to us, and then we decided what we wanted. We were also afraid that we would make requests on the build, and then we would get nickle-and-dimed to death, after already paying a hefty price tag - none of that with New Vic! What you see is what you pay - many concessions were made to our benefit, which I can’t tell you how much we appreciated!

Overall, I highly recommend this builder and their subs! They will build a home for you that will last for generations. If you want a quality product that won’t keep you up at night (after it is built! LOL!) , and are looking for million-dollar-service, then build with New Vic.
