EDIT: 5 months after leaving 1 star, the answer was he had no record of me as tenant.That had me rolling on the floor laughing.
How many times is he going to deny that we weren't tenants. Read a few more reviews I lost count of all that he can't remember or recall the name. He can't take the truth and hides behind his lies. Yeah, this is a property management company that can't take criticism and thinks we won't call the owner to straighten things out! Remember me NOW

Oak and Apple took over the apartment from a private landlord, and I've been trying to leave voicemails, but the mailbox is always full. I don’t know much about this company or how they operate, but in my opinion, their phone should not be full all the time. Even my support worker has called repeatedly, but no one answered. My case manager has also tried calling multiple times without any response. If you are running a business, it's important to answer your phone. What's the point of having one if you don't use it? However, I do want to give credit to the maintenance person; he responds right away.

I applied for a room. They constantly asked if I’m still interested which I responded yes all the time. When the time due I have email them for about five times nobody responded. I later found out from a tenant that the room has been rented to someone. Wasted my time for almost a month. That’s so not nice at all.

My water was shut off because the landlord was too lazy to make 1 confirmation phone call to Winnipeg water and waste. We brought up to them 5 months ago that we needed them to confirm our residency. Now today I can’t do laundry, shower, cook, or flush a toilet in what’s supposed to be my home. And Ofcourse oaks and apples is of no use. No help. No way to contact anybody directly. Do not rent under these people.

The owner's responses to negative reviews are concerning, to say the least. It’s shocking to see how he deflects criticism and shifts blame onto the customers instead of addressing their concerns. This is a classic example of DARVO (Deny, Attack, and Reverse Victim and Offender), a tactic often used by individuals to avoid accountability by making the complainant seem like the problem.

This kind of behavior is not only unprofessional but also abusive. These comments clearly reveal more about his character than any of the negative reviews could. Prospective tenants and landlords, RUN!

Took an entire month to get approved for an apartment having them hold my deposit the whole time only for them to back out 2 days before move in day with no explanation. Don't deal with these people.

I have literally been applying for two houses no response, I called no response,emails upon emails but why open an organization like that if you know you won’t be responsive,no one should waste their time applying for their houses they won’t respond
