I've lived in this apartment for just under a year. The entire time there have been cockroaches everywhere. The treatments are not effective enough to get rid of them. Talk with other tenants and you'll see that they also hate it here and have roaches in their units. The laundry room has roaches as well. The unit I live in was not properly inspected. The bathroom wasn't ready for our move in, and they had people come in a week after we were here to work on the bathtub. The water pressure had been an issue for weeks. It has been a living nightmare here, save yourself the weeks and months of discomfort and mental anguish of dealing with cockroaches and every other problem that pops up due to the negligence of the building management team. Stay away from this apartment.

I have recently moved in August and I have to say that applying for the unit and moving in was a concern with the quarantine and current situation. However, the staff made it quite easy with great guidance and communication.

We have had little to no physical contact with the staff; almost everything has been done through email or on the phone. I have emailed them in the morning, day, or night and always receive a fast reply.

They also have an online portal where we can pay rent, view our statement, load balance, and so on which is very neat. I love being able to pay rent in the comfort of my bed at whichever time i please lol.

Having lived in 3 other different apartment buildings since moving to Ottawa, Osgood properties really take the trophy when it comes to their costumer service, and building maintenance.

I feel very comfortable knowing that they are organized and happy to help their residents feel like their apartment really is a home. ☺️

Move in date was June 30th 2022 for building 2975, walked in to pick up the keys and was told they weren’t expecting anybody even though I called ahead of time to let them know I might be early. Was also told the unit was ready and given a check list to mark off anything that was wrong. Walked into the unit and the lock was broken.
Thermostat barley hanging onto the wall
Heater wiring completely exposed (safety hazard for young kids and pets)
Bathtub peeling away (apparently there was a work order for that but I was never told that when picking up the keys)
Screens and screen door ripped up
Door closer wasn’t even connected, it was in the closet
Cabinet doors hanging off their hinges and ready to fall off
Everything painted over, made it impossible to open some cabinets (was told the whole island had to be removed to fix it)
Extra latch lock on the door was also painted over which made it useless
Keys an fob left on the counter from previous tenants I’m assuming which were never deactivated, another safety issue
When bringing these issues up to the building manager she told us that they were minor fixes, how is ripping out the whole island a minor fix? I didn’t feel safe with latch and lock both broken so had to find a last minute Airbnb. Asked to get the lease terminated right away since they’ve been giving us the run around since day 1 of inquiry on top of what we had walked into. They agreed but it also took them awhile to send a signed document stating that the lease was to be terminated. Called bylaws and the guy I spoke with told me that they had gotten a few calls about this building. Definitely not worth the asking price. Superintendent told us that there wasn’t anymore harmful tenants, just that there was a drunk who would scream at pigeons all day. This was definitely not a very good experience as a first time renter but glad this happened before September and was able to find a better place for the school year.

Our experience with management have always been great! They are professional and quick to respond with any issues. This is a very important factor, in my opinion, when renting. Overall, we are very pleased with our apartment.

Don't move there if you don't like bugs. I have been living in this building since october 2017. There is a big cockroaches problem. We had our appartment treated more than 5 times now and the roaches always come back. Now summer is coming and the problem seems to be getting bigger, and will not be solved since the whole building is clearly infested. They will be nice to you and try to fix the problem, but treating one unit out of all of them is clearly never going to solve anything.

I have been living on this property since 2016, and I haven’t encountered any problems. The building is always clean and the maintenance staff are very professional. The manager and her assistants are always there to help whenever i have a concern. They respond quickly to my emails and always happy to solve any issues.

Terrible, unprofessional handling, rude feedback. Unrealistic thoughts. Lack of respect with ours. A lot of folks were moved out since I was there. Nobody respects your vulnerable report. 2095 and 2975 Both buildings have the same manager. You didn't get fully informed about what you want. You will never get a straight point. I was been there for almost one year!

I have been living in the building since May 2020. So far my experience has been Good. The building is aways clean and the maintenance is on the site with a very fast response. The management is always available and respond in timely manner. I would definitely recommend this building
