We've been to the shipwreck a couple of times and absolutely love the place. Perfect for surfing at Chesterman Beach, hearing the waves at night before bed and the place has everything you need to feel like at home. We love this place and the hosts are superb! Outside shower which is perfect especially if you surf and an outside bath tub, for bubble bath at any time of the day! Relaxing, comfortable and cozy.

We just spent 7 amazing days in Tofino and a large part of that was our accommodations. The Shipwreck cabin was perfect for what we needed. Well stocked kitchen, outdoor shower and bathtub!!! Comfy bed and very clean. It’s location allowed us many quick trips to Chesterman beach for morning coffee, surfing, happy hours, sunsets and star gazing. Sulo and Louise were great hosts and communication was fantastic - even made sure I was set up for a zoom meeting. Can’t wait to return to this idyllic place.

I heard about the adorable "Shipwreck" cottage from a friend and I'm so glad for the tip! My husband and I stayed for 2 nights and loved everything about it. Cozy, comfortable, quite, private, location, funky, you name it....It was our first time in Tofino and we felt like we hit the jackpot in this sweet little spot. Just across the street from beautiful Chersterman Beach. All these reviews are saying the same thing: it's lovely here. Thank you Sulo and Louise!

I booked a last minute getaway for my husband and I for 2 nights in Tofino. Our daughter, son in-law and grand daughter were staying at another location during the same time. We were so surprised at what a perfect place we had chosen. The location was amazing. A 2 minute walk to Chesterman Beach. We could hear the sound of the waves from our cottage!! We could easily make our way back and forth from cottage to beach for any items forgot or for a quick break from taking in the incredible beach. The kitchen was perfectly equipped to accommodate our breakfast, lunch and dinner needs. There was more than enough dishes, glasses, equipment etc to accommodate our family for meals with us. Heavenly bed!!! So comfortable and so quiet with exception of the sound of the waves. The extra large old fashioned tub outside on a nice way to end the day, relaxing in a big bubble bath again with the sound of the waves. We will definitely book here again and highly recommend it to anyone that is wanting a cozy cottage with lots of privacy and so close to a beautiful beach.

Forgot to take photos of the actual property because we were too busy enjoying our stay! We stayed at the Surf Shack in February. The cabin had everything we needed and more (Crocs for the hot tub, outside shower, towels, toiletries, cable, basic pantry items, etc). Walk across the street and be on the beach within two minutes! Watch kite boarders and surfers play, dogs run, and small groups enjoying beach fires. Gorgeous spot, we will be back!!!

The Hacienda is a very large place and very close to beach access. We are a family of 4 and we really enjoyed our stay. Sulo and Louise were great hosts. The outdoor shower was great for rinsing off after surfing sessions. The place was clean and beds were comfortable.

We spent four nights in late July 2019 at the Shipwreck Cottage in the Gold Coast Retreat. What a rewarding choice! A beautiful little studio cabin (for two people maximum, we suggest), fully equipped kitchen, living space and bathroom. A few minutes walk to Chesterman Beach, and a short drive into Tofino or other areas of Long Beach. Sulo and Louise, the hosts, are welcoming and exceedingly pleasant and helpful, with a vast store of local knowledge and businesses. The online description is completely accurate. We will stay here again without doubt.

My sister, brother-in-law, husband and I just spent three great days at the Hacienda. A perfect location to enjoy Chesterman Beach, Tofino and Pacific Rim park. Louise and Sulo were great hosts - very responsive and helpful but not intrusive. The house was large and very comfortable for the four of us. Sadly we didn’t get to enjoy the outdoor bathtub - next time!
