Based on the reviews, we were hesitant to engage with this company. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, we had no choice but to lease a property from them. We were hopeful for a positive experience and good service.

Contrary to our hopes, the experience was disappointing. We had to conduct our own check-in since the property manager was four hours late to our scheduled appointment. The unit we rented had not been cleaned prior to our arrival, leading us to spend the first day scrubbing it from top to bottom.

The check-out process and inspection were appalling. We scheduled a check-out inspection three months before our intended move-out date, but the staff at Parallel 50 were unresponsive to emails. Typically, I had to resend emails at least once to elicit a response, which, when received, was often a short, unclear sentence riddled with spelling and grammatical errors.

Despite confirming our check-out inspection date, no one from the staff showed up. When we called their "emergency" contact line, I spoke to the listed president, who promised to address the issue and get back to us—a response that never came.

I understand that things don't always go as planned. However, I expect honesty from service providers. If you're unable to meet an appointment, the least you can do is inform us.

Ultimately, I had to work directly with the property owner to resolve all the issues, effectively doing the job of the "property manager" or the company.

I urge Parallel 50 to revisit your policies and procedures. Our overall experience was uncomfortable and unsettling, and the day-to-day phone communication with your staff was among the worst customer service I've ever encountered.

Absolutely unprofessional. I lost a lot of money because of these incompetent people. I had the same experience as the last review. I actually had to find my own tenants because they never bothered to even list my property. The lady that I was dealing with is not even a licensed property manager. They gave my tenants a different contract from what I had written up and legally I now have to follow it and sue Parallel 50 if there are damages because of it later. They will ignore your calls and emails for months at a time while you and your tenants are neglected. Please being your complaints to the BC Financial Services Authority who oversees them as I am doing.

Terrible property management. Countless accounting mistakes, allowed multiple pets when our agreement specifically indicated a single pet. Bad tenants who were late on rent from the second month they moved in, then completely stopped paying 6 months later. They didn’t inform us and instead used the tenants security and pet deposits (without the tenants written consent as required by law) and waited until the tenants had missed 2 months of rent to issue an eviction notice. Ignored our countless phone calls and emails begging them to inform us as to what was going on. We are out thousands of dollars due to them doing absolutely nothing to mitigate our damages. Totally unprofessional and incompetent!

P50 managed 3 rental properties for me for a little over 1 year. They were terrible! Bookkeeping mistakes almost every month, almost non-existent or very delayed communication and bad reviews from the tenants...there was really almost nothing they did even remotely well. I strongly encourage other landlords to look elsewhere.

Terrible communication....We were moving to campbell river and were shown 2 places. One she didn't have the keys for.... the second place we took on the spot for a month away to move in.
We haven't heard from them since, besides meeting a different employee for the keys the day we moved in. Numerous calls with zero action. It's been 2 months and we still don't have a copy of our agreement or list of fix its that were to be done after move in inspection.
Luckily we met the actual owner of our place and are now dealing with him, and repairs were done almost immediately which the owner knew nothing about.
I give them one star based on the first day and were shown our new home.

They are pleasant to deal with but service is sub par. I find it takes them forever to get things moving. It can take half a dozen calls and messages and many months for the ball to get rolling. It feels like you're being deferred intentionally.

Joke of a company and especially the owner/property manager dale milkman?
Will not return your calls or be anything of a good landlord. Just shows up hands you Papers and leaves. No respect for their tenants and will break basic tenancy act laws to get their way.

They have changed management, and since then, the rent is always on time. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a responsible team to care for their property
