Our move-in experience with Platinum Property Management was unfortunately not up to the standard we expected. The unit was handed over in an unclean state, which significantly disrupted our moving day, as we had to spend that time cleaning instead of moving in.

We addressed the issue respectfully and referred to the lease agreement, which clearly states a minimum cleaning rate of $60 per hour. However, the compensation offered was only $160, based on a stated rate of $40 per hour — which is below the contractual minimum. Management labeled this a “goodwill credit” and refused to acknowledge the full time and effort we spent, or the terms outlined in the lease.

Additionally, the move-in inspection was a very unpleasant experience. The representative, Kateryna, was dismissive of any concerns I raised and unhelpful when I asked questions. I was not given the opportunity to properly review the inspection report or the issues documented. I was pressured to sign it quickly, as she said she “didn’t have time.” The entire process felt rushed and treated as a careless formality rather than a meaningful check on the condition of the unit.

We are disappointed that the lease terms were not honored and that the move-in process lacked professionalism, despite our efforts to resolve the matter fairly and respectfully.

I had been a client of Platinum Property Management Calgary for several years, and while the initial years were satisfactory, my experience when I was leaving was deeply disappointing. Communication became a significant issue; emails and texts went unanswered, and phone calls were rarely returned. This lack of responsiveness made it incredibly difficult to address any concerns or questions I had.

The tenants they placed in my property left it in poor condition. Despite this, Platinum Property Management returned the damage deposit to the tenants without consulting me or addressing the damages. When I raised these concerns, I received little to no support.​

Given my experience, I would strongly advise against using their services.

My husband and I yesterday had our annual apartment inspection which was done by one of your employees, Kataryna.
This young woman was a true delight to have in our home, efficient and most professional. She checked each room, listened attentively to our concerns and questions and we were able to have an enjoyable conversation with her.

I had a very disappointing experience with Platinum Property Management. Despite confirming my appointment for a property viewing, no one from their team showed up. After waiting in extreme weather and trying to reach them, I was instructed to keep calling the property manager myself, which was incredibly frustrating. They confirmed my appointment via email, but there was no leasing manager on site, and they didn't take responsibility to connect me directly. The lack of punctuality, communication, and professionalism was unacceptable. I would not recommend their services.

Platinum Property Rentals is decent at their job but needs some improvement in some areas. My walk through of the rental, both moving in and out, went smooth and were well documented. I only required maintenance once and it was easy to use the online portal to get the maintenance completed.

The company loses stars with this review as, when it came to getting my security deposit back, it took 23 days since my move out date and many follow ups with no response. According to the Alberta Government, the security deposit should be paid within ten days since vacancy. I had to call a total of four times before I got a call back saying that an e-transfer had been processed but the brokerage had yet to approve it with no reasoning provided. Waiting 23 days for a security deposit is unacceptable for any tenant. The e-transfer for the security deposit was sent but I’m left wondering: had I not phoned and continuously followed up, how much longer would have it taken?

Issues with processes like this can result in financial distress for all renters. I suggested to Platinum Property Rentals to bring the issue to their next management meeting as this process requires a serious revision.

I would give this company 0 stars if that was an option. This company flat out ignore and disrespects the rights of their tenants. They have yet to return our damage deposit and report after the move out was completed over 3 weeks ago. No one picks up the phone or return calls. No one responds to emails. This "company" is an absolute joke. We are now being forced to go through lawyers and tenant board to get our damage deposit as report back from this joke of a company.

Update: after fighting to get the damage deposit and report back, we finally received it 3 weeks after the move out when it was legally supposed to be returned within 10 days. We left the place absolutely spotless and completed everything on the cleaning list. After we spent over 12 hours of our own time cleaning the suit, this company still deducted an almost $500 suit cleaning fee.
This company will do nothing more than steal your money and be extremely rude about it. I spoke directly with the director of the company regarding these issues and he was extremely rude, disrespectful, and called me names. No one at this company has any level of professionalism. Stay as far away from these thieves as possible!!!
Just read the many reviews of tenants that all experienced this same issue with this company. This company is nothing more than a scam that wants to take advantage of tenants and steal their money.

Reviews say their communication is bad but I personally received emails back quickly, reminder emails for viewings, reminder texts, email about my application a few hours after, even a text from Maryann personally before the scheduled viewing. Significantly better than any other property management company I've dealt with in Calgary. Maryann is also amazing at what she does, super personable and friendly. She answers all questions efficiently and professionally. It's been a fantastic experience so far with communication!

I am very impressed with the professional services that she has been provided to me. So I have worry free since day one my property was on the market.
