Quay Pacific Property Management is absolutely terrible at their job, but they’re fantastic at collecting management fees while doing next to nothing. Looking at the number of 1/5-star reviews on Google, I can see I’m not alone in my frustration—those reviews are completely accurate!

Here’s what happened: contractors hired to work in our building were given a FOB that was “stolen.” That FOB had full access to all floors. Criminals then used it to enter our residential building repeatedly, ransacking the storage rooms over multiple nights and stealing residents' belongings. When we approached Joan Bird, the so-called Senior Strata Manager at Quay Pacific, to address the losses and seek compensation, her response? “That’s your responsibility through home insurance.” Seriously? We lost over $1,000 worth of valuables. They let thieves into our building, and somehow we’re to blame?

Joan Bird has been dealing with our building forever and honestly, she should just quit. Her role seems to revolve around being a parrot for the strata, churning out letters to residents filled with irrelevant complaints and copy-pasting pages of strata bylaws. That’s the extent of her “effort.” What a soul-sucking job which is just as bad as those people issuing parking tickets.

If you’re considering Quay Pacific, save yourself the headache—run in the opposite direction. Too bad I can't give a 0/5 rating!

I am on the strata council for a condominium located in Langley. We made the change in propoerty management providers to Quay Pacific in September of this year and have been more that satisfied with their service. Its amazing when you have a management company that is proactive in every aspect of the service that they provide. Avoid these people at all costs.
They are the worst property managers I’ve ever encountered—dishonest and unprofessional. They show no regard for tenants and use every trick in the book to rent out their properties. After I signed the lease, Reg Ofreneo failed to complete the move-in repairs he promised. The elevator was constantly out of service, which is why the current owner rented the unit, yet the property manager never mentioned that repairs were ongoing. I lived there for a year, and the elevator was never fixed by the time I moved out. There’s no manager at this company to address complaints, either.

Please take a moment to read my review again before responding.

1. I didn’t claim the unit was unclean when I moved in.
2. If your agent lists issues as move-in condition repairs, they should be addressed promptly, regardless of owner approval.
3. I’m not blaming you for the elevator’s malfunction; I’m simply saying you should inform tenants about the ongoing elevator repairs during showings before they sign the contract.

Additionally, your company served as the strata manager for several months and the council ended the contract with you because of the excellent work you did in that building.
