Called a realtor in Canmore one day to inquire about a condo they had listed on MLS. This realtor turned out to be Regan Tewnion. Had a really good chat with her on this initial phone call, and although we determined that the condo I was inquiring about didn't fit my needs, she invited my wife and I to come out to Canmore to look at a few condos that might be a better fit for us. The reason the original was not a fit, was due to some zoning restrictions around Canmore that we were not aware of. Regan sounded quite experienced in this respect, and even anticipated a few questions before I even asked them. We spent two separate Saturdays in Canmore looking at Condos, one with Regan, and one with her partner Scott. Both of them are lovely people, very knowledgeable in the Canmore real estate market (they are condo owners themselves), and easy to talk to. We ended up putting an offer in on a condo one Sunday (when the market was quite competitive), and we got it! Regan's knowledge about the Canmore short term rental market, and the related rules and regulations (from her own direct experience) gave my wife and I the confidence the pull the trigger and buy our first Canmore condo to be used as a vacation home, and short term rental property. Since we bought our condo (June '21) we have had many friends ask us about it, as they are curious about buying their own. Every single time I recommend Regan as who they should call if they are considering buying in the Bow Valley. Even many months after our purchase, Regan is always quick to answer a text, or take a call if I have a question about anything related to our condo or Canmore real estate. She has even done a few favours for us at our condo when we couldn't make it out there to address them ourselves. She said that she doesn't mind doing these extra things, as she wants the "whole experience" of being a Canmore property owner to be a good one, not just until the deal is done, but throughout the ownership.
