I recently purchased a house that was being sold through realtor Dave Mingo. I am quite unimpressed with his lack of professionalism and consideration. When I entered my new home upon possession my joy and excitement quickly turned to disappointment and dejection. The seller had not cleaned the house at all. Not a single cupboard, appliance or bathroom had been cleaned. As well as numerous items had simply been left in the house for me to dispose of. Instead of excitedly unpacking I spent the first week cleaning. I brought these deficiencies to my purchasing realtor’s attention (Lyle Hatton) and he informed Dave of the situation. I fully expected a phone call from Dave to apologize on behalf of his client and offer some sort of resolution. It has been almost one month and I have not heard one word from Dave. Lyle, on the other hand, not only came and picked up the garbage and items left behind from Dave’s client and took them to the dump for me, he also offered to come over and clean the house….something that Dave Mingo should have done! I recommend having a condition of sale to be written in the contract that the house needs to be cleaned and ready for move-in. Do not assume that it will be done. Lyle Hatton is a remarkable realtor; professional, considerate and kind. I do not recommend Dave Mingo and I highly recommend Lyle Hatton.

Delayed or "forgotten" communication more than once, less than average exposure for the listed property, no efforts to get to know the property better in order to do a showing. Finally unprofessional reactions to feedback. I understand that this might work for self-selling residential homes on a hot buyer's market right now, but sure not for something more complex. Thanks for trying and good luck.

Edit ten days later: For a negative review, I would absolutely expect a prompt management response. Did not happen. very unprofessional.

Horrible experience with an agent I made the mistake of contacting. Patricia Ford has still not called me, not even once and this is now three weeks after my contact with her. I gave her a list of six homes I wanted to view ......still waiting for that call. Extremely unprofessional, rude and thoughtless. I gave it a one star because the receptionist was very helpful and kind. Royallepage in town has since helped me purchase my home .

I miss the days when you could just browse listings. I like to look at photos and get the specifics without having to sign up, leaving my email & phone number (what's next, a vial of my blood?). I guess real estate companies are so desperate they have to hound you for business even if you are just at the "window shopping" phase. This is across the board, not just Remax.

This is a hard one to give a review for have not had much good luck with the Realtors there is one extremely good realtor name Tamara she goes above and beyond but for the rest of them it's a hard one I got the impression from them that they give better service the more money you spend instead of giving equal service to everybody
