Rent Northview Lloydminster Office - Lloydminster, Alberta

For over 4 years now, Northview (an investment company, not a home provider) have left their partially burnt out - and highly visible - "Capri Gardens" apartment to sit un-repaired on our neighbourhood block. They only recently cut down the burnt dead tree that had been sitting there.

For 4 years, I've assumed it would be fixed soon, because no reputable company in the world would leave an obviously dangerous partially burnt out apartment building untouched for this long. Especially when there are residents living in the suite below the burnt out corner of the building.

For any current resident or anyone considering renting there, this should be a sign to stay away. Stay far away! If they're willing to leave a visibly structurally damaged building intact, for everyone to see, what other dangerous horrors are hiding just below the surface? Rusty gas lines? Uninspected DIY electrical work? Compromised foundations? Insect infestation? Lack of insurance coverage?

And for those who don't know what a REIT is:

A Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) is a financial instrument, meant solely to return profit (from your high rent) to mostly private investors. Nobody who owns a share in this trust, and who are likely enjoying their 3rd vacation this year thanks to the rent you work so hard to pay, would ever tolerate living in a partially burnt out building; most of them would have their own homes fixed in mere weeks.

Anyways, Northview's behaviour is disgusting and unacceptable; it shows utter contempt for the hard working human beings who need a place to live, and it is a big middle finger to this city and our communities that live here. So, in the next few weeks, I will be attempting to contact residents and Northview employees, for more information on what's really going on behind the scenes in this company. I will also be filing formal complaints, as well as encouraging residents and local neighbours to file formal complaints, with each and every relevant regulatory authority in the city, provincial and federal governments. Finally, I'm going to contact various media outlets, such as Global's 16:9, about the possibility of doing a deep dive piece into corporate landlords, and Northview REIT in particular, passing along any names or information I'm able to gather on my own.

Maybe, just maybe, if we act now, we can prevent Northview from causing the next Grenfell Tower disaster with their arrogant negligence and disregard for human life.

Peaceful living, great staff always there for you, maintence and house keeping do a great job and the people working in the office are beyond friendly! I've lived here a year and going on year two which is abnormal because I never stay in one place for more than a year

The best apartment buildings I've been in. Still has the usual apartment issues such as thin walls and smells lingering in the hallways

Charge 20$ a month to keep my cat when kids are free to run around screaming above you for 12 hours a day. They closed the office for an entire year from virus paranoia so you can't talk to them. Call them on the phone for help and they don't answer ever. Buildings have cockroaches, they want to fill your apartment with pesticides and force you to leave all day. I fkin hate this apartment so much. You'd be better off living in the dumpster behind arby's
