When my wife and I decided to look for a retirement property in Victoria we fortunately found Robin via his youtube videos describing different areas of Victoria (which are very informative). We talked with him over the phone and outlined our "ideal home" requests and then met him when we visited Victoria a couple of weeks later and he had created a list of potential options based on our requests. He was very patient in taking us around the various options and although our first visit was unsuccessful we kept in touch and he continued to send us links to homes that came up that met our wish list. When one popped up that seemed very promising he even kindly did a video tour of the property with us and thus we went back to Victoria a few days later. He guided us expertly through the negotiation process to a successful purchase. He then gave us numerous recommendations for a real estate lawyer, inspector, property manager, and various contractors to fix small issues with the house we had bought. We found Robin to be very approachable and kind, responsive, and he gave us excellent advice. He made the process of buying a house in a different province as painless as possible. We first met Robin at a coffee shop in Cadboro Bay in 2022 while visiting Victoria from out of town. From the very beginning, Robin was kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to guiding us through purchasing our first home in Victoria from afar. Retiring in Ontario and moving to the other side of the country can be extremely stressful, but Robin made our transition seamless. When we first decided to sell in 2019, Robin listened to what we were looking for and started searching for, and made a short list of desirable properties. When we sold our home during the pandemic, I made my way out to BC and Robin said he would find us our dream home. After only a week of driving around looking at homes, we found our new home in the lovely community of Cobble Hill. Robin guided us through all the financial and legal paperwork, and gave us all the info on changing over drivers licenses, vehicle ownerships, insurance, and BC Healthcare. Once we made the move, he helped us find some trades people to do some renovations on our home, and even a custom furniture maker for our "west coast" harvest table. He is still always available if I have any questions about where to find things on the Island. I would highly recommend Robin for any purchases or sales of homes or condos. He's amazing.
