I recently moved to Vancouver from another province. Buying a home in Vancouver while living elsewhere wasn’t easy, but I had the good fortune of meeting Realtor Sam Lee, a realtor from Royal First Realty, through a friend’s introduction. When I came to Vancouver to view homes, Sam Lee was kind enough to pick me up from the airport and drive me around to the viewings. He even dropped me off at my accommodation afterward and showed me around the city, which was very helpful in this unfamiliar place.

Thanks to Sam’s guidance, I was able to find a home I liked within a few days and returned home feeling confident about my purchase. Four months later, my family and I moved into the new house, and we couldn’t be more pleased. It was a rewarding experience, and I am very grateful to Sam Lee for all his help.

I’ve been using Royal First Realty for a year and I couldn’t be happier with the service. Sam is incredibly responsive and efficient—whenever there’s a maintenance issue or something breaks, he fixes it immediately, which gives me great peace of mind as a landlord. I see there was a misunderstanding recently related to accusations of discrimination, but based on my experience, I really hope it was just a miscommunication. I work with many people/friends with different sexual identities and I support their choices.
I don’t know what exactly happened so I might not be the judge for the situation. However, I’ve always been clear that I am open to renting my property to anyone, regardless of sexual identity or background, and Sam has consistently supported this stance.

Overall, I highly recommend him for his professionalism, attentiveness, and commitment to fairness.

This is feedback for one of their agents - Sam Lee. Made us feel unwelcome from the very first communication over message. Ended up showing the property, but had a dismissive attitude throughout. Never sent the application form after request, and pinned it on the owners saying they want to rent it to someone else.

By all means, they have the right to choose who lives in the unit, but you have to be respectful to everyone, and you have to give equal opportunity.

It wasn't explicit but it was most probably discrimination basis sexual orientation (or maybe even race). He asked a couple of questions to confirm our living status, and we knew what was coming. Living in an inclusive country with a closed mindset - it's a no no. We are seriously considering raising a complaint against Sam/Royal First Realty with the BC Human Rights Tribunal.

I've sent several messages to Sam Lee, and emails about viewing several properties he is looking after, and I know the messenger messages he has seen, and he hasn't ONCE reached out to me, and these properties are still showing as available. Not very professional. If I was a client using this company to rent my suite, I'd not be happy that he's ignoring people.

The managing broker respectable Paul Shin is the most knowledgeable and experienced one I ever met in Vancouver. He knows everything! Xaviera Xian was a liar an unprofessional. She was the Seller's agent that promised to remove the wardrobe but it didnt happen. She made excuse that she didnt have time at possession day by not giving us a chance to inspect the property with her witness. When asked abt which lights didn't work based on inspection report she was babling about seller was kind enough to give the wardrobe and they were sensitive because they got back up offer higher than mine which was so unrelated. the laundry was molded due to never been cleaned and stated on the report and she promised the seller would clean but it didnt happen either.
