We rented a property through Royal LePage, we worked with the Devries team. They were both very dishonest, very unprofessional and didn't take any of our property safety concerns seriously, until one of us fell through the rotten deck, they then tried to say it was due to our neglect that the deck was so bad. They were unable to rent the property until multiple repairs were done, and once they did they raised the rent much higher then legally allowed. It was a fight to get our deposits back, they even illegally held our pet deposit, with no explanation. After doing our move out inspection and everything was deemed excellent, we get an email a few days later stating that the room they were standing in exclaiming how clean and fresh it was, now all of a sudden smelled like cat urine.... long story short, I ended up having to contact their manager because their correspondence with me had become harassment. They were ordered to cut us our deposit check and get it to us that day despite it being Rememberance Day and their office being closed. When we arrived at the office to collect our check, Virginia aggressively started in ranting about the carpet. It was such a stressful horrible experience. I seriously have no idea how these women still have a job there. It was shameful.

I had an incredibly frustrating experience selling and purchasing through Royal LePage Parksville - Qualicum Beach Realty Despite submitting a formal complaint to the managing broker, I received absolutely no response for months. The realtor who worked with us seemed to share the same lack of professionalism and work ethic as the managing broker.

As a business owner, I am shocked by the level of disregard for professional standards. It is disappointing to encounter a business where legitimate complaints are ignored and condoned. I strongly advise against using their services if you’re looking for a smooth and professional real estate transaction.

I purchased my first condo through Royale LePage, and had a fantastic experience. I am currently seeking another apartment with a Royal LePage agent, and so far, she has been fantastic.
That being said, I won't be using RL in the future. I don't appreciate or condone MASSIVE companies like this dipping their toes into local politics, and fear-mongering the public.
