This summer I faced a daunting task of relocating my young family of teenagers halfway across the country, during a global pandemic, to begin a new life on Vancouver Island. One afternoon in late June, I received a call from Scott Lissa. He was so engaging and personable from the start. I couldn't believe how easy it was to talk to him and knew immediately that he was listening to the needs of my family.

Scott prides himself on being a relocation expert and when he introduced himself it became apparent that he was willing to help me achieve my immediate goals. He proceeded to find out what my family was looking to accomplish, the timeline, and the type of home we were looking to purchase. It was apparent that Scott was very knowledgeable regarding the current market and he brought me up to speed on the local real estate trends on the island. He had a plan and I fully trusted him.

Scott armed me with sound knowledge and provided numerous choices of housing to explore. In fact, we did virtual visits through FaceTime and he never once made me feel rushed. He comforted me that we would absolutely find my family a place to call home. Complicating the task at hand was the fact that we had an extremely protracted timeline; weeks to be specific. I never once questioned his abilities as he had the tenacity and motivation to get the job done seamlessly.

Fast forward a few weeks and Scott met us in Nanaimo. My first impression was that he was someone who truly cared to match my family to the proper type of home and to also meet the stringent timelines put forth. I had one week to find a home in a crazy hot housing market; a goal I was worried may not happen. Together, we accomplished the goal in near record time. Scott dedicated so much time to ensuring I was comfortable with my decision and to make sure it happened without a hitch. You will not find a more honest realtor with better character, integrity, and values than this man. I cannot recommend him highly enough. His attention to detail and the exemplary manner in which he conducts himself is commendable. He is honest and tells it like it is...no sugar coating.

Scott has a great attitude, his responses are prompt, and he knows how to manage people and their emotions during "uncommon purchases" that are known to create undue stress. His analytic personality helped enhance problem solving capabilities. His confidence diminished fears and worries. Scott was there to support us from beginning to end (and then some), ensure rational decision-making, and equip us with the tools we needed to be successful in the fast-paced VI real estate world. He never once strayed from what he presented at the beginning of this journey...being an integral component of securing our very basic quest to find a suitable home in a labile market.

Scott has numerous connections and people who were able to answer questions. I could tell that his team functions well and was painstakingly built to reach the end goal of helping homebuyers realize their dreams. This man hustles and never stops. I lamented at how many hours he put in taking on my goals and stresses. He is also a very family-focused individual who sets aside time for his own young family. He put in the time, often at all hours, to ensure we reached our objective. I will continue to recommend and support Scott in his career, 100%. He did the near impossible in helping me realize my dream and become a Vancouver Island home owner.

Fast forward to September and Scott was there to greet us as we arrived after a 2600 km trek to our new home. Now that we're settled, the dedication and excellence that Scott embodies is readily apparent. He will often send ideas of hikes to go on and places to explore with the kids. I can tell he cares about his clients tremendously and if you're looking to relocate, call Scott.

Scott Lissa is a RARE GEM!!! The whole process of making the move to Vancouver island was made easy and fun with Scott. He took the time to show us areas we may not have discovered on our own, made recommendations of where to hike and eat, and most of all showed patience and expertise when helping us find our dream home. Scott showed us countless houses (a few more than one time) and yet never made us feel like we were bothering him, which I am sure at times we were. He has a great sense of humour, extensive knowledge of Nanaimo and surrounding towns, expertise in noticing deficiencies and excellence in homes, and is trustworthy and honest. If you have any doubts about going with Scott as an agent, DO NOT HESITATE to use his services. If I could rate Scott Lissa higher, I would!!! He is off the charts. Scott is an honest realtor who we were easily able to trust to make one of the biggest decisions of our life. He adores his family and we thank them for letting us steal him away on many occasions. Scott helped us buy our dream home in Nanaimo this year. We weren't from the Island, so we discovered him through his YouTube channel--his videos are very informative and give a great advice on what to look for on the Island and Nanaimo. I've since had other people from Nanaimo recommend his videos to me!

We wanted to get some more information and so we reached out and we got a prompt reply back. That got the ball rolling and Scott went and visited some places we were interested in and took videos with some helpful and honest commentary on what was happening in the places, so we only had to come over for places we were more serious about. When we were ready to put an offer on a place, Scott went through the buying process with us step-by-step and explained it really simply to us, as we had never bought a house before. I think the home buying process is inherently stressful, but we always felt that Scott was looking out for us and any questions we had were answered promptly and honestly.

And lastly, without Scott's phenomenal negotiating skills, it would have been unlikely that we would have been able to purchase the house we did. We are head over heels about our new-to-us place in Nanaimo and don't ever want to leave. But if we did, we'd definitely be asking Scott to be our realtor! Thanks, Scott!!
