I am posting this regarding Baywest Homes as it is owned by Section 23 and Baywest does not have their business listed in my community on Google Maps so I can't leave my review there.
This is our third new build so we had knew the process and have had great experiences with the other builders we used. We started our build with Baywest with a great anticipation of building our forever home, it has now become our biggest disappointment. We had visited the house during construction and noticed our floors were getting damaged due to the paint, drywall dust, dirt and mud being ground into the floors since they were not protected. We did notify their employee that was with us that our floors were getting damaged and was told they would tell the construction supervisor about it but week after week nothing changed. At possession we were told “don’t worry we will take care of it”, it’s now a year and a half later and still we have damaged floors. They have tried to clean them a couple times but it did not work ,debris is ground into the grains in the wood, now they are not willing to replace the floors. We also have so many outstanding deficiencies that are from day 1 that are not fixed let alone the ones that have popped up since. The workmanship through out most of the house was terrible. The painter created more issues when he came back to fix things than we had to begin with, his attention to his job was so bad that he ended up painting part of my plant and some of my furniture. Some of the other issues we have are damaged widow frames on the exterior so water could get in, a bowed wall, bubbling of our deck, a nail in the wall gouging the pocket door, a skylight that looks terrible(wavy walls paint lines and just dirt around the window), chipped tiles in the shower and the finishing on the walls is terrible and needs a drywaller.
The lack of customer care is appalling , it takes forever for emails to get answered, if they reply to you at all. In all other houses we built the deficiencies were finished within 3 months of noticing them not over a year and a half. The trades they hire should work to the quality they advertise and should take pride in their job. Their website says The Baywest experience is about care and craft, from start to finish. and from my experience that is not true.
