We lived in Lyric 1 for just short of a year. It is a top notch facility with access to the many amenities at the Village Centre.[Movies, hot tub, 2 salt water swimming pools, a gym, a theatre, golf simulator,, library and a big fitness centre]. Underground parking is very good and includes a car wash and charging stations if you have an EV. A large deck with hookups for NG Barbecue. We had a two bedroom and it had lots of closet space and storage. The staff is very good. If you have an issue they respond quickly. We can't complain about anything. Highly recommend it. We moved because my spouse developed health issues which required assisted living.

Brutal. Moved in 22 months ago to a brand new rental. Were told AC isn't working and would be replaced, which was a huge feature for us, especially paying almost $3,000 rent per month. 21 months later and no response to emails regarding the AC or action taken. The rental has reached 35 degrees inside , our kids and us can't sleep, often sleeping outside, and still no response to our requests. Avoid Simco like the plague. They don't get back to you regarding issues, offer resolutions or at the very least even reply to an email or phone call. Yet they expect the rent paid on time and in full. A simple rent reduction or communication would have solved this... yet nothing. Our experience has been absolutely atrocious and we are leaving at the end of the month. If you are reading this, trust me, rent or purchase through a different property management company. And please don't send me a canned response that you won't respond to anyway...

My partner and i purchased a condo under simco management in march of 2025, unfortunately a couple of months later we had a septic backup. Our condo manager, Marie has been nothing but amazing towards us in dealing with this. She has gone above and beyond in organizing trades and keeping the repairs on schedule. She is one that truly cares about her properties and making them the best that they can be.

We called Simco Management (Calgary) last week about some repairs to our garage roof on McLean Ave . Shingles needed to be replaced because of a tree branch that damage the roof. Mega Roofing & Exteriors were fabulous, We went away for the weekend and came back to a repaired roof. Great work and a very pleasant surprise. Seamless communication between the Simco and Mega Roofing, Thank you, J

Marie our Property Manager is doing a superb job in trying to address our condo concerns. We are a 198 condo unit complex covering a whole city block wide and deep. She is response and tries to address the many phone she gets as quickly as possible. We have a major painting facelift project which will test her to the limit. I am a Board member and work well with her.

Comments here definitely helped us to stay away. Which is too bad as they used to have somewhat decent Management. People should learn to how easy it is to file claims and pursue for costs either owning or renting when management fail to meet their legal obligations. Get everything in writing, record all communications. Follow up with emails, and take lots of video and photos. Sign no weird additional agreements after and have it reviewed to ensure they have not breached obligations or infringed upon any rights.

My partner and I bought our first home in Canyon Creek and it’s been a nightmare literally since day 1. The very first day we moved in a flood happened which was caused by a faulty bathtub, we managed to mitigate the damage and contacted Simco right away. Jasmin was at first very helpful and coordinated remediation to come in very promptly, but suggested, rather oddly, that we have an asbestos test done “just in case because other units in the complex tested positive”. Mind you, we’d paid for a condo doc review which turned up no mention of asbestos. Asbestos has to be legally disclosed to a buyer before a property is sold. We were at no point informed that there could be asbestos on our property. Unsurprisingly, the asbestos test came back positive and we were asked to pay over $10k for remediation. While we sought legal advice Jasmin threatened us with further fines for unsanctioned renovations done to the bathroom by the previous owner, of which we had no idea when we bought. I assume this was an effort to get us to accept the costs right away. If this doesn’t qualify as predatory if not illegal behaviour I don’t know what does. Since then we’ve found ample evidence that Simco knew about the presence of asbestos in the whole complex, the company that did the 6.5 million dollar recladding project in 2023 mentioned asbestos remediation in their portfolio picture of the project, we found mentions of it in the newsletter, and from speaking to our neighbours most of them weren’t aware of it unless they tried to do renovations. This company is dishonest to its core and I am absolutely appalled by the way we’ve been treated. Every single party in the sale of our property from the previous owner, to Simco, to the people who did the bathroom renovations poorly cut corners, lied, misdirected and misinformed us, and we are being asked to pay literally tens of thousands of dollars as a result - or else. We are still getting legal advice on next steps but I highly encourage others to avoid buying any property associated with this company.

As well, after the leak with the bathtub happened, we were left hanging by Jasmin over the weekend, meaning we had just moved into a brand new place, we had no way to keep ourselves clean, and we went 8 days without a functional shower while we both had to work full time. I emailed Jasmin during business hours asking what kind of communication we could expect over the weekend and got no reply.

Linda has been managing our 32-unit, three-story building for the past 10 months. I’ve served on the Board Executive since its formation in November 2021. During that time (and before Linda assumed her role), we experienced turnover with two different Condo Managers under a previous property management firm, followed by two more with our current firm, Simco Management. Based on that experience, I can confidently give Linda a 5-star review.

Linda brings a wealth of experience and demonstrates strong knowledge in all aspects of condominium management. She is responsive, professional, well-organized, diplomatic, and treats everyone with respect. When sourcing quotes, she draws from a trusted network of proven contractors. And her willingness to offer thoughtful feedback (especially as we've navigated occasional sensitive and challenging communications) has been both invaluable and greatly appreciated.

We are grateful to Linda for taking on our property and skillfully guiding it through both transitional challenges and some legacy issues from previous management. Thanks to her efforts, the property is now being managed with efficiency and organization.

Simco’s supportive environment, combined with access to tools like Condo Control and Yardi, has played a key role in enabling Linda to excel in her role and distinguish herself as an exceptional Condominium Manager.

We truly dread the day she’s no longer our Condo Manager; her shoes will undoubtedly be near-impossible to fill!
