.We contracted with Slotegraaf to completely gut and renovate three bathrooms in our 120 year old red brick house in Guelph. It was the first renovation we have ever done, so we were nervous and put a lot of trust in Slotegraaf to deliver what we wanted.

To say our trust was well-placed would be an understatement: From the time we received the quote to the time the project was completed, we knew we were in very capable hands. These guys definitely know how to manage a project, as we knew exactly what the finished project would look like (thanks to the renderings provided by their design team), how much the total project would cost, when each step would be completed (and by whom), and when the project would be finished. Absolutely none of our friends or family, based on their own experience with renovations done by other contractors, believed it would take the eight weeks estimated. However, Slotegraaf got the project done, on budget, and on schedule. And this is despite us adding stuff onto the project during the course of the reno, as well as the guys finding more than a few surprises behind the walls of our ancient house.

We lived in the house (and in fact worked from home) throughout the renovation, and we really appreciated how accommodating and personable everyone was. Brad, Christine, Flo and Ethan were all amazing, responsive, and super professional. Our four year-old daughter loved saying "hi" to Ethan and Flo every morning.

Slotegraaf definitely isn't the cheapest option out there--a fact that they're honest about upfront (as we were told this during our initial call with their sales team). However, when you're entrusting your house to people who are going to tear it apart and put it back together, we were more than willing to pay a premium for peace of mind knowing that we were getting the best of the best.

Without a doubt, we would highly recommend Slotegraaf and will definitely use them again.

During a basement renovation, my wife and I noticed that 2 of our foundation walls had a 1 inch crack all throughout. We called Slotegraaf and the owner Dave came out to see it personally! Not many companies have the owner hands on! He was so professional, looked at the problem, came up with a solution on site and put the wheels in motion. Had to put my house on stilts, knock out my cinderblock foundation and formed and poured a new concrete foundation with updated egress windows. They were super busy, but he fit us in because this was a serious issue for our home. Can't say enough good things about this company. If your looking for a trustworthy company, this is it!!!

Slotegraaf did a major renovation for us in 2020. We were so pleased with the work they did we had them back for a smaller renovation in 2021. They are very organized which made the renovations go smoothly. The staff worked with us to incorporate a custom barn door style mirror into the design in our ensuite (see photo).
