I do not have an option to rate this as "0", so rating this "1". When we moved to Regina, this place was highly sought after and my intial experience was really good. I recommended this place to a lot of newcomers. Over the past two years, service quality has deteriorated despite high rent. Maintenance requests are ignored or delayed, but they are immensely proactive when it comes to increasing the rent (without giving a thought to improve upon the issues). Now they are charging a fees for using the common room/social room and also raise complaints if the tenants sit around the open lobby. There were regular issues with the elevators, hot water supply etc. Five months ago, I moved into another suite in the same building and reported multiple issues during the move-in inspection, but they were never addressed. I was charged 250$ transfer fees and a high rent, but the issues were not resolved before my move-in date. After repeated complaints and visits to the office, I was always promised a timeline but the maintenance team would not turn up. A few major issues are still pending, despite the fact that I pay my rent on time always. Instead of paying attention to repairing the issues, they proactively sent me an email levying heavy charges on me for not handing over the previous suite in a good condition. I had to respond back to them to remind them that I followed their moving-out checklist completely, had cleaned the cupboards, kitchen shelves, bathroom, sink, tub, and the floor before moving out and their inspection team had given a go ahead before I moved out. I did not hear back anything after that. Many other leasing companies in Regina offer similar rent with excellent maintenance services and other facilities (including indoor pool and club). Please avoid leasing with Boardwalk.

Nice and quiet place to live. Apartments are clean and spacious, and the location is convenient. Management is mostly responsive, though maintenance can sometimes take time. Overall, a good experience!

The staff, especially Ruth, has been incredibly helpful. She made the moving process much easier by assisting with the paperwork and arranging the reserved elevator for moving our furniture.

I have been residing at this property for the past 3 months, and unfortunately, my experience has been less than satisfactory.
1. The hot water pressure has been consistently low or sometimes zero, making it challenging to enjoy a comfortable shower. This has been an ongoing issue that, despite reporting, hasn't been adequately addressed.
2. The elevator has been malfunctioning for the past several months.
3. Water softness issue

Management is poor in addressing the above problems but proactive in increasing the rent.

I hope management takes these concerns seriously and implements the necessary changes to enhance the overall living experience for everyone.

I am living in this apartment since 2 years and since last 1 year it is nightmare when it comes to maintenance. Whoever thinking to rent here please review this and give a second thought.

Since more than 8 months one elevator is not working and no body from bwalk cares to fix it.

Another big issue is hot water and low water pressure. Again no one from bwalk give a damn about it after raising this concern more than 100 times. Top management now giving solution to boil water on gas for shower.

There are other small issues like laundry washer and dryer which also unattended.

They never forget to increase rent each renewal without any facilities.

Overall not a worth penny!

I have been in this building from 1 and half year now. At starting everything was good but from last 1 year it is nightmare staying here.

1. Elevator has always issues sometime working and sometime not. Out of two elevator one elevator is not working at all from almost half a year.

2. Hot water is not coming almost everyday or if it is coming pressure is too law. You have to feel bucket to take bath. Otherwise not possible. So many time when you are taking shower. Water stops all of sudden.

3. Laundry has issues from several months now. Again hot water is not coming in laundry nowadays.

4. Management members have no answers for when all these issues will get solved. Rebecca is one of the manager here and when we asked her about all these issues. She was rude with us. She told us she doesn’t know when they can fix it. It’s been 8 to 6 months we are struggling as tenants here.

5. They will keep increasing your rent and they don’t care about Tenants.

Going to start off by saying I lived here for 3 years and when I first moved in I did have a 5 star review up. This review is not biased as I am no longer a resident it is just a truthful account of my experiences with Southpointe Plaza and Boardwalk. The first issue I noticed right upon moving in is that the pictures are all quite deceiving. They use very good lighting and tend to leave out the less pleasant areas of the building like the parking lots which are torn apart, filled with gravel and turn into mud pits when it rains or melts. Everytime I would spend money to clean my car by the next day it was a mess again. After living here for about 2 years I had a scary experience with the elevators. They never work properly but one day after work I got on and it jolted up and down with the door flying open and shut until I finally jumped off. I called boardwalk to have them turn it off so nobody else would use it and potentially get injured and nothing was done. I then called the number posted in the elevator to report issues and when they sent someone out the same elevator car was shut down for weeks. When I spoke to the building manager Rebecca about this she told me it was my problem because I didn't think to pick up the phone in the elevator as it was throwing me around the car..........she then offered me a one time credit of $20 for my experience. Even after all of this and reporting the issue to Boardwalk multiple times, elevators still had issues for another year until I moved out. Second major issue was hot water. Anytime between 7am to 9am I would have to boil a pot of water to add to my sink just to be able to wash my face with warm water. Showers were only possible after 11pm otherwise it was lukewarm at best. This issue was ongoing for almost 2 years, reported to boardwalk multiple times and again was not resolved upon moving out. I've seen other reviews and was told myself a solution to this was to boil some water on the stove and just have a bath instead. Third major issue here was the noise in this building. Kids running up and down halls and common areas, and also noise from apartments above. Letters would be sent out frequently but again, nothing ever done to remedy the issue. Another small thing that really struck me as odd was Boardwalk claims to be all about building communities and making great places to live, but they started to charge fees to use the common room of the building making it harder to build said communities. This was also something advertised as included in the rent but after renovations they decided to make that change. When my lease was up for renewal this past year I wasn't offered a new lease and was told by Lindsay (the absolute meanest lady I've ever dealt with and some type of area manager) that they don't need to give me a reason to not offer a new lease but it was based on the fact that I complained when things were broken so I must be unhappy with my home. The last major issue I had happened after I moved out. I've been waiting almost a month for my damage deposit to be returned to me and everytime I speak to someone at boardwalk I am given the run around. This company claims on reviews that they take complaints seriously and look into things, but they don't. The huge, glaring issues in this building have not and probably will not be fixed for a long time. They don't do much when you have an issue but let me tell you, they always make sure to get those rent increase letters out every 6 months. I've never experienced so many rental increase anywhere I've lived before, and it was never justified by any improvements to the building. They just attach a sob story about how expenses go up for them as well so they need to pass that along to the tenant. I would say avoid Boardwalk at all expenses and look elsewhere. I personally found a place that's bigger, more amenities including a pool, newly renovated suite and all for $200 less rent than I would be paying at Southpointe. If I could give my experience with these guys a 0/10 I would but 1 star will have to do.

One of the best community to live in Regina messed up with lot of issues recently and seems building management is not much bothered about it.
1. One of the two elevator is not working for past 8 months which ultimately now shut down completely.
2. Hot water issues for several months and there is no clear timeline when it will be fixed.
3. Slow response on other maintenance requests.

However, management is very proactive when it comes to rent increase.

I hope things will be resolved in near future.
