Squid Shack is a peaceful, stylish retreat nestled in the forest. Every detail is beautifully curated. So quiet, comfy, and thoughtfully designed. This place is a gem and we’ll definitely be back!

I am definitely coming back to the Squid Shack. I love the vintage look of some of the appliances, yet everything here feels very modern. It has my dream bathroom tiles, with a deep bathtub, heated floors, and a heated towel rack! The cabin is filled with unique designer touches that really impressed me. Everywhere you look, there's a piece of decor you'd love to have at home.
All the essentials are there, plus nice surprises like a blender, great chef's knives, fun games and books, plus an electric fireplace! The area is super quiet, close to beaches and the lighthouse.
The mornings were magical, sun filtering through the trees, birdsong, so peaceful. The outdoor shower is perfect for rinsing off your wetsuit. Great and practical.
I highly recommend this place.

Squid Shack is Pure Magic!

Squid Shack is the ultimate blend of comfort and elegant quality that leaves you with a sense of tranquility and awe. From the moment we arrived, we were completely enchanted. We were first greeted by a deer at the driveway and then a curious Blue Jay on the balcony, joining us as we soaked in the serene forest view.

Every detail of the cabin feels intentionally curated. The sleek style, cozy atmosphere, and thoughtful touches make this place feel like a true sanctuary. Within just 10 minutes, it already felt like paradise.

Exploring the space is a joy in itself. From the pink acoustic guitar and board games to the beautiful handmade designer pieces scattered throughout, it’s clear the hosts have poured heart into every corner. The kitchen is impressively stocked with modern appliances, and yes, even a milk frother for your morning coffee dreams. With stainless steel finishes and a spacious fridge, everything is as practical as it is stylish.

The bed is wonderfully comfortable, and the bathroom? It feels straight out of a five-star hotel, absolutely stunning.

Squid Shack has completely won us over. It’s peaceful, perfectly located, and full of charm. Without a doubt, this gem is going straight to the top of our list for future Ukee getaways.

My partner and I spent a lovely weekend at the Squid Shack. It was not only quaint and lovely , but also pristine in it's presentation. The balcony is surrounded by trees but you can still get a glimpse of the water beyond. The hosts are reliable , respond quickly, and leave you with a detailed binder of things to do/see in the area. Would love to come back here!

We had an excellent stay with our toddler and dog! Easy access to the beach and trails. Very tastefully recently renovated, great outdoor deck space. Bed was super comfortable!

Such a lovely spot to stay for the week. So quiet and just outside of town. The renovations are lovely. Would certainly be happy to stay there again.
