Streetcar Developments is a horrendous Developer/ Builder and I would never recommend anyone to buy. Light fixtures could not be installed due to faulty wiring in the electrical closet leading to the unit. 3 months have gone bye gone bye since occupancy and still no carpet in the hallways, Plumbing leaks above the ceiling in the bathroom. During PDI, UNIT WAS NEVER CLEANED, YELLOW PATCHES ON WALL, PATIO SLIDING STILL CRACKED AFTER 3 MONTHS. JUST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. SURPRISED THEIR STILL IN BUSINESS!!!

DO NOT BUY ANY PRE-CONSCRUCTION PROJECTS FROM THEM!!!
I FOUND 4 PLASTIC BOTTLES FILLED WITH PEE IN THE UNIT ON THE CLOSING DAY. ONE OF THEM WAS BURRIED IN THE WALL. THE DITCHES IN THE BALCONY WERE FULL OF TRASH & CIGARETTE BUTTS. I REPORTED MORE THAN 30 SIGNIFICANT DEFICIENCIES.
It is almost impossible to talk to anyone after you sign the sales agreement. They don't answer calls. They only reply to emails they like. They delayed the delivery of my apartment for 5 years then extended the firm occupancy date 4 times. I had to change my living situation many times because of their uncertain dates. After I decided to rent the place, they extended to dates so many times, I lost the renters I found. At the end they delivered an apartment with faulty or missing appliances, huge holes and stains on the walls. I FOUND 4 PLASTIC BOTTLES FILLED WITH PEE IN THE UNIT ON THE CLOSING DAY. ONE OF THEM WAS BURRIED IN THE WALL. THE DITCHES IN THE BALCONY WERE FULL OF TRASH & CIGARETTE BUTTS. They use every clause in the agreement in their favor disregarding the hardship they are putting you through. They added more than $10k on my adjustment under the line item: tree planting. There isn't a single tree in the complex. They are not worth the money you invest in.

poor workmanship. poor quality of material and appliances options. zero quality assurance. would never buy from streetcar ever again.
Tarion warranty is useless. All kinds of loopholes allowing developers to basically do the minimal and still be acceptable to deliver.

Not a reputable builder. I purchased a Southwood unit and have had warranty issues with the quality of the work done since day one. The tradespeople they use do Poor quality work. They don't want to fix many of the issues under warranty. The items they do fix they just do " band aid" repairs opposed to fixing things properly. I highly recommend avoiding street car developments unless you Want a headache, buy from a reputable builder like tridel or Daniels

I never leave reviews.
But this is ridiculous. Street car has really disappointed me. They still have operational control over some buildings.
Haven’t had hot water in the morning for over a month and a half. Actually got a cold and thought I had covid from taking frigid showers in winter months.
the baseball units have not been well or made or managed.

Buyer or renter stay away !

No accountability.
City (confirmed) didn't issue occupancy permit and they still listed occupancy dates on all paperwork including Tarion and wanted everyone to pick up keys and illegally occupy the units.

Like a game of pinball you can never get in contact with the right party and numbers provided are unassigned or go straight to voicemail.

Hands down the WORST.

Not only do they create empty promises, their lack of attention, lack of priorities and disrespect for their residents reflects how poorly they manage any issue, while hiding behind their emails.

They have neglected many vital repairs for over 6 months!!

I'm a tenant at Carnaby Condos -- it's a decent building, however there was water damage in April and the developer (Streetcar Developments) is responsible for repairs, however it has been nearly 7 months and interior repairs have not been completed. To clarify, I have been living for 7 months under constant "renovation" circumstances. Nightmare situation, Streetcar Developments is a terrible builder that takes forever when it comes to due diligence.
