I’ve had the pleasure of renting a unit at 6727 59th Ave (Spanish Villas) in Red Deer with Sun Country and their team. No issues while renting, very simple experience. The ladies in the office are so prompt and polite. The maintenance team is very respectful of everyone’s privacy and efficient. Overall, great experience and would recommend. RENTERS BEWARE.

Wish I could start by giving this pathetic excuse for a rental community 0 stars. I had the absolute displeasure of working with Don in hopes of leasing one of their furnished bachelor units. Let me start by giving credit where credit is due. The unit was very clean and well maintained. It had everything I was looking for. The only one issue was the old TV in the unit that Don told me over the phone would soon be replaced by a smart tv and assured me that he had already placed an order for the same but he could not give me a date as to when that replacement would happen.

When we filled out the application, his office leasing agent Lana, told me to put that in writing on my application to indicate that we were told of getting a new smart TV installed in the unit by Don, which I did to ensure transparency.

I submitted my application right after meeting with him and had high hopes that it would go through because of my excellent credit score and good income proof. To my surprise, Don refused my application, never pulled my credit report and when I called to ask for the reason behind the refusal, he told me that the reason behind the refusal was that I had VERBALLY asked to negotiate the rent price(even though my application did not state anywhere that I wanted to pay lower rent than the advertised price). This is ridiculous and childish because Don here seems like the kind of guy who has never negotiated in life for a better price, really?

Everybody negotiates and it was a fair question to ask whether the rent was negotiable and/or if there are any promotions that we can take advantage of? But Don got so offended that he decided to straightaway reject the application. I just simply asked him about whether there was any wiggle room in the rent and he said No. And I was fine by that answer and promptly submitted my application the very same day at the advertised rent but I guess I picked his wrong nerve somehow.

Renters beware, if they treat their prospective renters like this, I can only imagine how the current renters would be treated especially when they need to get something replaced in the unit or fixed.

Don needs to broaden his mind a little and not get offended by simple rent negotiation questions before the application is even filled out!!

Sun County Rentals are phenomenal! I have lived in an unit rented from them for just over 2 years. The move in was allowed early, Don went the extra mile to have things perfect and even painted the doors and updated light fixtures. There hasn't been a time that my concerns haven't been immediately addressed and accommodated even if they were tedious. Highly highly recommend this property management company. Top notch!

I always have good experience with Sun Country Rentals. Being with them for 5 years, I’ve never had any issues with all the aspects of renting their property. Very fast and reliable when it comes to maintenance, rental fee is fair, good management and the people like Don, Patie and Susanne from the office are all responsive and professionals, even with the return of your deposit, they are very organized. I guess, they will treat you special especially if you take care of their property as well. Very recommendable👍👍👍

Highly recommend. When I found out there was a place available, they made arrangements so I could see it the same day. Feell in love the moment I walked in the door.. I felt like I was at home and I still do. Quiet safe and clean. Grounds are well kept as us the building. Something breaks down they are there within 24 hr to do repair. I feel ill be renting from.them for many years

I have lived in Westpark for just about 18 years and would not live anywhere else for these reasons...rent is very fair, upgraded suites, yard and building iare kept up to Sun Country's high standards. Great neighbors and close to all ammendities. The Sun Country management are available 24/7 and truly are on their game with every resident. I would highly recommend Sun Country Rentals. Very lucky to have this company!😁
