I signed a lease downtown last year through Angela Zelvenschi, acting as lease broker and property manager. I explicitly required in the contract that the unit be clean and free of scuffs upon possession — neither condition was met and there was damage in the apartment. Though I was compensated for cleanliness.

When I raised this one week after moving in, I was told I could leave the lease if I paid six weeks’ rent, which felt unreasonable given the circumstances. The only way I was able to exit the lease was by identifying core electrical issues that posed safety risks. Despite providing professional repair quotes, both Angela and the owner refused to address them at the time I left.

Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this broker or management service.
