I had the worst shopping experience yesterday with a lady who I’ve purchased tabacco from. She kept rolling her eyes, and after she couldn’t find the cigarettes I wanted, I said she can give me Marlboro gold if she doesn’t have the one I want, to what she replied “Make up your mind” with a very aggressive tone. Her attitude was unacceptable and it never is. I’m local and go to this Tesco every other day and never seen her friendly. Few weeks back she asked me to show ID when I was buying cigarettes and I didn’t have one so I said don’t worry, I’ll go and get it quickly, and her response was “tell me your DOB but quickly”. I work in retail as an assistant manager and I know what challenge 25 is. She is breaking a policy that can easily lead to dismissal! She really needs to work on her attitude because she works with people and serves customers.

Island Beach

This is the worst supermarket experience I’ve ever had. Twice now the African lady with the bleached skin at the cigarette counter has accused me of displaying a fake drivers license whilst trying to purchase the lottery. I’m in my mid thirties and this woman refuses to accept that it’s me in my drivers license picture and repeatedly refuses to serve me. I tried to complain to the duty manager but he just told me that they have the right to refuse customers and that I should find another member of staff for the future should I want to buy any more lottery tickets. Appalling. I have offered to show my bank cards stating my name to reassure that I am who is in the drivers license but the woman refuses to accept that it’s my license. She then proceeded to tell me that I can’t accuse her behaviour to be racist because we are the same race. Bear in mind that nobody mentioned race in any way, shape or form. She mentioned to me that she has also poor eyesight and that’s contributing to her inability to confirm my identity but that is still unacceptable because she should maybe be tasks with other tasks that don’t include identification if she can not see well. I am disgusted in this store and this member of staff with absolutely no level of customer service and ultimately a disgrace to Tesco.

Mardocius

Terrible shop. Overpriced on both brand-name and their own-brand goods (which are poor, as well); badly laid out and poorly managed. Only ever has one self-checkout open for cash payment, normally being used by a card payer! How Tesco is still operating is totally inexplicable to me.

Gummy Leo

Good selection for a medium sized store, could do with more organic products or finest products. The main negative is very poor customer service with the checkout staff just chatting to each other and often ignoring you. Once the checkout staff jumped the queue put her stuff in front of mine and thought it was really funny. Service is what they need to work on.

Makara

This is my favorite supermarket in the UK.

I generally don't like supermarket shopping, however this Tesco is really refreshing, it's never normally too busy, big enough to have everything you need in a shop and has a really good discount section. This is probably the only supermarket I have ever enjoyed shopping at.

Prices are also pretty good.

Reasonably big store, with a large selection of products in most categories, however, the staff generally seem overworked and as such, I’ve had several negative experiences regarding till queue management and help at the self service checkouts, whereby I’ve actually dropped my shopping and left to go elsewhere.

DIONYSIA NIKOLOPOULOU

Some staff in this branch are abusive to the customers. I have observed several incidents of aggressive behavior to other customers and today I was the victim of this abuse myself. They scream at you and think it's OK, the intimidate and threaten the customers and nobody does a thing about it.
