Our stay at the Lake House in Manitou was warm, welcoming and fun. Jana, the host/owner, is incredibly friendly and genuinely wants her guests to have an unforgettable experience. The house has a quaint, rustic charm, with a homey, cozy feeling, yet is very large and easily accommodated our group of eight. Jana has thought of everything her guests could need by way of amenities. The view from the back deck is lovely and a great spot for early morning coffee. We enjoyed exploring the quaint markets and shops in town. We would encourage everyone to book a stay at the Lake House to experience true hospitality and tranquility. It is the perfect place to make lasting memories, as we certainly did.

I had the most unforgettable stay at this beautiful lake house! From the moment I arrived, I was mesmerized by the breathtaking view of the serene waters and the lush green surroundings.
The house itself was very large but cozy and immaculate, equipped with all the amenities one could wish for. The rustic charm blended perfectly with modern comforts, making it feel like a true home away from home. Waking up early to watch the sunrise over the calm waters was a soul-soothing experience. I spent my days lounging on one of the decks, and listening to the sounds of nature—a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The host was incredibly hospitable and attentive, ensuring I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. Their local recommendations added an extra layer of enjoyment to my trip, as I explored nearby establishments for a beverage or a bite to eat.
I cannot recommend the Lake House enough for anyone seeking tranquility, relaxation, and a close connection with nature. Whether you're travelling solo, as a couple, or with family, this gem of a getaway by the lake promises an unforgettable experience that will leave you yearning to return.

A great location with beautiful and scenic views from the house deck overlooking the lake. Also a very interesting and wonderful house with character and warmth. It was clean, tidy and organized with many amenities. The service was great and Jana is so friendly and thoughtful. It was a marvelous and magical weekend that will be fondly remembered. I hope to visit again soon and would highly recommend staying at The Lakehouse in Manitou.

Lovely place to stay. We had a group come stay a weekend for a bachelorette. Rooms were comfy, several bathrooms and well stocked home. Gracious host and beautiful view of the lake! We walked to the spa and had a lovely time!

Gorgeous house overlooking the lake, and a short walk to the waterfront and downtown. Jana was a gracious host, making sure that our family was comfortable and had everything we needed. I would definitely stay here again!

Our party of 6 had a great stay at Jana's beautiful house, scenically located overlooking the lake! The space was newly renovated and very clean, the host was welcoming and accommodating to all our needs.

I very much have enjoyed my time here. Janna is just wonderful, a pleasant and caring owner. She made sure I had everything I needed. The room was clean and tidy, the house is beautiful. Will be staying here again on my next trip out for sure. Can not recommend The Lake House enough.

Our stay of 8 adults and 9 grandchildren ages 3 to 14 was just great. It was a spacious house, very accommodating owner and other than brutally cold weather have to recommend the Lake House with a 5 star rating
