The Village Hive was absolute perfection for my small team gathering (6 people) in July 2025! The conference room with large monitor (+ HDMI) and whiteboard was all that we needed for a productive meeting.

Charlotte made booking a breeze and was a dream to work with. She helped me find local restaurants to order lunch and was very accommodating to all of our needs on site.

I found The Village Hive inadvertently after refusing to pay the exorbitant conference room rental rates at the local Markham hotels. The location was easy for locals to get to, easy access from Rte. 407 - and what a cute, historic neighborhood!

Nothing but good things to say about The Village Hive! I only hope that I don't regret posting this review because this best-kept-secret may no longer be one! 🙂

My colleagues and I had a half-day away, and couldn't have been more pleased with our experience. The Boardroom is a generous space - lots of surface area on the big table for laptops and two large white boards on the walls for putting down group thoughts. While we didn't use the TV, it too was a good size and easy-peasy to set up. The ambience of the room with the large window, tin ceilings, hardwood floors and brick walls oozed character. We were delighted to be there. Next time we'll take advantage of the kitchenette just outside the Boardroom. A big thanks to Charlotte for ensuring we were well cared for. We'll be back!!! 🙂

Charlotte, Monica, Serene, and whole The Village Hive team has held such important spaces in Markham Dog Alliance’s journey.

They provided a dog-friendly space where our MDA team could regularly meet to discuss goals and accomplishments, they have donated to our raffles to help us raise money for Rainbow Railroad and Ontario SPCA, and they continuously show up at our dog-friendly events to show their support in-person.

Whether you are just starting a business out and need a quiet office to work in where you can build your network, have your mail sent there, book meeting rooms, and more - The Village Hive is definitely a co-working space we recommend you check out - especially if you have well behaved dogs you want to bring with you to this office.

Charlotte even joined our team to climb the CN Tower for World Wildlife Fund and helped us raise over $2,000!

Our experience at the Markham Hive was exceptional! If you need a co-working space or boardroom, I would highly recommend it. It was clean and comfortable, lots of parking, easy access to AV equipment, great customer service and best of all such a charming location that you forget you are actually working! We will be using The Markham Hive for future meetings.

I really enjoyed my time working out of the Village Hive! I rented a desk for 3 months in 2022 and occasionally visit as a drop in member. Charlotte was very welcoming and made sure there always nice treats and an assortment of teas and coffees for members. Along with co-working desks, the Village Hive also has a number of private rooms that can be used for calls. If you are looking to grow your network or bounce ideas off someone, this is the spot. The other members and building tenants are extremely friendly. The Hive is suited in a beautiful old school building, located in the historic Main St Markham area, a great place to explore during breaks or to grab a bite.
