I have been a customer for years. Even though I have now moved out of the area of their main office I continue to get my insurance from them. They make it easy to manage all my vehicle and home insurance needs from out of town. Highly recommended for good friendly customer service, fast response and efficiency.

If it were possible to provide a lower rating than one star, I would. Upon our arrival for my stepdaughter's road test, Cindy displayed a distinct lack of friendliness. I handed her our insurance and registration. She abruptly informed us it was not enough as I was missing the liability section. I was unsure what she was referring to, as I printed exactly what our insurance company had sent us. Rather than taking the time to explain it calmly to me, she was noticeably getting frustrated at my questions. I called my husband and explained the situation to him. He promptly reached out to our insurance and got the necessary documents within 5 minutes. While I was awaiting his phone call, Cindy bluntly said you have 5 minutes before I cancel this test. At this point I was feeling very anxious. We successfully obtained the necessary document. When I asked for their fax number, rather than proving it verbally, she pointed to a piece of paper at another desk where the number was displayed. I approached the desk and a very polite lady named Ruth suggested an email may be faster. By this point Cindy expressed evident frustration towards me. She declared that because the email didn't come through fast enough, and I couldn't get the document on my daughters phone in an timely matter, I had to allow my daughter to take my phone or the she could not partake in the test. I found this to be a significant challenge as my phone is serves as a crucial medical device. Despite this, I refrained from expressing my concern in hopes of not exacerbating the situation any further. They finally hit the road at 5:05pm. I'd like to respectively mention this is only 5 minutes past the scheduled test time. While I understand that punctuality is important, I genuinely wish Cindy could have shown a bit more understanding and compassion for the situation. The vehicle returned back to the parking lot at 5:34pm. I felt a larger sense of frustration about the earlier situation regarding time, when the test was supposed to go till 5:45pm. From my vantage point, I was able to observe the concluding portion of their discussion. The non-verbal cues displayed by Cindy were not in alignment with the expected standard of a professional conduct. When Cindy returned to the office, I was prepared to engage in a conversation with her. She entered with her head down and failed to acknowledge my presence. We left. I chose not to make a scene as we both were clearly frustrated with each other. On the drive back home I discussed with my daughter about the evaluation given. This is where my blood starts to boil. It is important to state that my concern does not lie with the fact that she did not pass. I acknowledge the necessity of failing individuals who demonstrate insufficient knowledge and safety awareness. My concern here is while on the highway Cindy decided to have her window open all the way. ON. THE. HIGHWAY! It is widely acknowledged that the noise generated by an open window at highway speeds can be disruptive and unpleasant for most individuals. When Cindy was requested to close the window due to the distraction it was creating, she abruptly declined and stated 'I prefer it open' ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! The driver stated you were causing a distraction and you declined to cooperate? I respectfully think this is wrong for a variety of reasons. My daughter subsequently experienced difficulty in maintaining focus leading to a subpar performance on the highway where she normally does extremely well as we live in the country. She perceived a lack of sufficient time to execute the turn as indicated resulting in an unsafe speed of turning. I am unable to fathom how an instructor could intentionally decline a simple request to eliminate a distraction during a test and still express to them just how poorly they did. As previously mentioned above, I understand the necessity of failing people who cannot demonstrate the knowledge. However, I find it astonishing that the instructor can intentionally create such a distraction to the driver with no consequence to themself.

Been with Thor Insurance for over 20 Years. Very prompt in response to emails, or phone calls. Never had an issue with getting any product information from them when I needed it. Whether it be a new car to a new house or business insurance.

Thor is great and have always been, for 20 years I have been with them. The only issue I have is wawanesa , I do not recommend them for house insurance, they totally screwed me when I had a house fire 3 years ago.

I called them with some questions and they patiently answered them all. When I came in to deal with an out of province transfer of ownership, I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I can't thank you enough for being kind and patient.
