Worst CUSTOMER SERVICE.
We rented from them 2 weeks ago and today we wanted to drop off a minivan today and rent another car again, since our car is not ready yet.
We made a reservation through Booking for a Toyota Corolla and when we got to the reception. The Sales Manager named Katrina was extremely rude with us. She said that we were getting the same car that we were dropping off. I asked that if that was gonna change the price because we got the minivan as a “manager special” price. And the Toyota was more expensive. And her reply was in a very bad tone “YOU ARE GETTING THE SAME CAR BECAUSE WE DO NOT HAVE THE TOYOTA AVAILABLE. OK?”
We understand that they didn’t had the Toyota available but I was just asking for the price. We would have been fine on keeping the minivan but the way she “answered” my question was way off.
We cannot believe the MANAGER is the one treating people like that.
We ended up canceling the new reservation and went to HERTZ. You could totally tell the difference between the way THRIFTY manager treats customers. We regret not renting from HERTZ to begin with.

Best car rental experience i have had to date! The online booking was good with fair pricing and Tyler made picking up my car at the Eagle/Vail airport very easy. He was friendly, informative and professional and I drove away from the lot with a big smile. Paula

We rented a vehicle 6-21-24. Tyler was helping us this day and was very knowledgeable, sharp and extremely friendly. He gave us the direct number to call that location to rent next visit. They were short on cars, however, he got us in to an appropriate vehicle. We come about 2-3 times a year from Texas and we will definitely rent here first. Thanks Tyler. ROB P AND Chi V

Only giving one star because 0 is not an option. I booked a car via Priceline to road trip in to California.... all information said unlimited miles. 2 days before pickup the confirmation text gave me an extra list of policies including that the car had limited miles and was not allowed to go to California. The rude person on the phone guaranteed that this was in the fine print, however Priceline confirmed that this was not true. The lady hung up on me and cancelled my reservation. Thankfully Priceline gave me a refund since they confirmed what I was told was not listed

Summary: From checking in, getting the vehicle, and turning it in this was a 5⭐️ experience. Tyler, The agent that assisted me was incredible. Best personality, customer service, and professionalism. He is a credit to thrifty car rentals.

Full Story: I rented the vehicle through Delta airlines. A couple of days prior to arrival I received an email saying, my reservation had been canceled. I called and was assured everything was fine, and was even sent another email confirming that the reservation was good.
I arrived at EGE and headed to the Thrifty counter. I observed agent Tyler dealing with the customer ahead of me, and I have to say just listening to that interaction it was obvious he is a complete professional with a great personality and willing to assist.
I provided my confirmation number but as I thought might happen, the reservation had been canceled. Tyler did not waste one moment, he said he would take care of it, and give me the exact vehicle and rate I had been quoted previously.
Dealing with Tyler made what could’ve been an aggravating experience a pleasure.
This could’ve been an anxiety field experience, but instead it was a great start to our vacation.
Thank you Tyler for being awesome at what you do.

We needed a car last minute, found Thrifty Rentals, they had great prices! When we got there, Tyler helped us, everything was quick and easy, vehicle was clean and helped us make sure our vacay was a great success!

Absolutely the worst rental experience I have ever had in the 35 years I have WORKED in the travel industry. My wife and I had a great birthday and retirement trip planned and Thrifty/Dollar car rental at Eagle airport pretty much ruined that. Here's what happened: While waiting in line for over 30 minutes while they helped the one customer ahead of me I got online with thrifty car rental (the direct site) and found that they now were offering me a SUV for less than the mid-size I had reserved. Okay, I grabbed the new reservation. During the long wait the employee was on the phone with the manager trying to sort out the customer's claim that Thrifty had significantly over-charged him. When we finally got up to the counter I explained that I wanted to go with the SUV reservation that I had made. "David" (the counter rep) said "nah - I won't be in the system yet". I asked him to please look. He did (very reluctantly) and it was there. When he presented the contract it was for more money than what the reservation said it should be online. His response was "it is what it is". I asked him to call the manager that he had just spoken with for the previous customer to get it corrected. He called the manager (Katrina) and she told me "we are a privately owned Thrifty/Dollar location and we don't have to honor the online reservation price. When I told her that wasn't right she berated me for having her employee call her on Easter Sunday and that I was interrupting her Easter dinner with family. Then she said "you know - the employee you are dealing with is a minor". I'm thinking "soooooooo?" - I'm not trying to sell him beer, I haven't cussed him out (even though his attitude stunk). Didn't really understand her point - unless perhaps this was her son doing a poor job of customer service and she wanted me to extra special nice to him even though he was terrible at customer service? Anyway, when I gave the phone back to David and he spoke with her again he suddenly tells me that she says the SUV is not available, the mid-size I had originally reserved is not available, and the only vehicle available is a Tacoma PICK UP TRUCK. He held up the paper rental contract for the SUV in front of me and tore it in two. Oh yeah, BTW, it is POURING RAIN OUTSIDE! No one had rented a vehicle during the time all this was transpiring and suddenly there is nothing available except a pick up truck when it is pouring down rain?

We walked down to Hertz and got excellent customer service and an almost new SUV for a few dollars more than what we were supposed to pay Thrifty.

Two other notes:
1) We noticed Diego, who was also working at Thrifty/Dollar was handling customers well - courteous & friendly

2) This was the second time we had issues with this Thrifty rental location. A few years prior to this incident we had rented from them and upon rental return I asked for a receipt showing total charges. I was told "yeah- we don't do that".

Katrina set up our flawless and resonable reservation. Check in with Moses was easy and efficient. Everyone is professional and customer oriented. Five star.
