I recently purchased a condo unit listed by Thu Pham. On the day of taking possession, Thu was 45 minutes late meeting my realtor to hand over the keys, while my mover was on the way to pick up my belongings. My realtor said he has never seen anything like this in his 20 years working in the real estate.
After I moved in, right away I noticed that the sellers left behind their old microwave and toaster over, and a little bit more. I understand that Thu is a realtor, not a janitorial supervisor. But it made me wondering whether or not she advised her clients to hand over their property to the buyer in a respectful way. Making it worse, later I found out the living room window doesn't open properly, and the built-in gas fireplace is not working. For sure it's my own fault. I sold my own place and was in a rush to find a new place, so I put in an unconditional offer. But it made me wondering whether or not Thu was aware of these issues. Did she ever check with her clients before listing the property? My realtor and I made sure everything supposed to be working are working before I put my property on the market.
Just today, I got a surprising visit from two strata council members. They asked me how many remotes and fobs I received from the sellers. They suspected that the sellers didn't turn over all the fobs because they still got access to the building after they moved out. It made me wondering how much trust there is between Thu and her clients.
