We had a lovely time at the Hummingbird Cottage. Vivienne was wonderful and answered all of our questions quickly. We were lucky enough to get to meet her at the end of our stay. The house is quiet and relaxing. The house was well appointed and had everything that we could ever need for our week stay. The beds were comfortable and it was nice to have the blackout curtains in the bedroom. The beach was only a 2 minute walk from the house. We enjoyed our long strolls along the beach every day and at low tide we found tons of sea stars. One night we even went to the beach late at night and I have never seen so many stars in my life. I highly recommend this wonderful home.

This is a beautiful, well-appointed and exceptionally well-kept cottage at Chesterman Beach, and located just steps away from the Pacific Ocean (literally a two-minute walk across the road). We had everything we needed for this visit which was the trees, birdsong, water, rest, relaxation, and excellent sleeps! It was perfect: We wished we could have stayed a wee bit longer. Next time! Thank you to our gracious hostess.

I was so fortunate to stay at this beautiful retreat, Humming Bird Cottage in the Tofino area just a stones throw away from Chesterman beach.
I found the cottage to be bright, airy and warm, spotlessly clean with thoughtful accessories, a well stocked kitchen and beautiful beds and linen.
Vivienne as hostess was exceptionally thoughtful and helpful and I believe has inspired the calm and rejuvenating feel of this special place.
The scenery and wildlife of Tofino and its surrounds was incredibly beautiful. The dawn and evening light on Chesterman beach was spectacular, as were the two eagles perched daily on the far pines surveying their kingdom.
For anyone who enjoys the outdoors, connecting with nature, incredible views and who appreciates a myriad of arts, culture, history and wellness activities, you'll love Tofino and I would highly recommended staying at Humming Bird Cottage.

Our family stayed at Tofino Hummingbird Cottage and had an amazing time! The cottage is in the perfect location. It's surrounded by lush green trees and is very quiet, peaceful and comfortable. The beach is right across the street, it's a short walk to the coffee shop and a short drive into Tofino. The cottage is extremely clean and has everything you could ask for, including a well organized and stocked kitchen. The host, Vivienne, is very responsive and a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended!

We stayed at Tofino Hummingbird cottage for a long weekend at end of July and had a lovely and relaxing time! The cottage is perfectly located, fully equipped and beautifully designed so that you could only need to think about relaxed mg and enjoying the beautiful Chesterman beach. Being so close, one can witness the beauty of the beach at all times of day and night! Our guest - Vivienne - was thoughtful and … invisible! We appreciated the little thoughtful details to make us feel welcome and taken care of.

When we arrived at Tofino Hummingbird Cottage, we instantly felt at peace in the lovely green garden, with robins hopping on the path and birds singing in the trees all around. As we walked inside, that tranquil feeling continued, because the decor and furnishings of the cottage are beautiful and well thought out. The kitchen is so well appointed that we had everything we needed for making meals, including a blender for smoothies. The shower works beautifully and the super comfy beds and darkened rooms make for deep sleeps. Everything was very clean too. And spectacular Chesterman Beach is just a short stroll away! We ate out quite a bit too because Tofino (just minutes away by car) offers a huge range of places to snack and dine at. After just one day there we felt relaxed and after a week we left to go home completely refreshed and restored.

We stayed at the Hummingbird Cottage for a week in mid-August and would’ve liked to stay longer. The cottage was perfect for our family with just a short walk to Chesterman beach. Very comfortable beds, beautifully designed and the most wonderful host we’ve ever had at a rental accommodation- Vivienne was able to help us with all of our needs. Will definitely visit again!
