Treats tenants terrible. Won’t let you open your windows or decorate your balcony. Had the apartment a mess when moving in, the agreed upon utilities weren’t all working when moved in and it took months to fix, all while still enforcing full rent payments. Unkind, uncaring, not a well run business. Would not recommend.

I am posting to express my great frustration at the latest rent hike of $300 per month (more if a lease isn't signed).

First, I will say that the building is very nice and it is well kept by a team of wonderful cleaners, maintenance people and a building manager. Any concerns were attended to quickly. I lived in the older building of the two.

A year ago, I was frustrated when my lease came up and I was told that my rent was not increasing. However, they would no longer be paying for my electricity. This was something I had opted into a year before, at a cost of $75 per month. I did not appreciate them trying to convince me that they were not increasing my rent by $75 per month. They finally conceded that they could have phrased things differently.

This year when my lease came up, the increase was $300 per month. I expressed my dismay and was told that this is what rents are at in the area. I was not given information justifying this very significant increase. I was, however, provided with a list of links to subsidy programs.

I was able to find another place to live, but my concern is for other renters. I know of a single mom in the building who is at a loss for what she will do when her lease comes up.

We have rented in this beautiful apartment for 3 years and we are very sad to leave. The building is well run. If something goes wrong, which is rare, maintenance is quick to service. Guests are greeted with an attractive entrance. The grounds are kept beautifully, and the interior is clean. They have best festive door contests which is fun to participate in. Good price for a lovely apartment with high ceilings, in suite laundry and dishwashers for convenience.

An Honest Review

Let me first begin by saying that staying here was a blessing. This was definitely one of the best apartments I have had. Getting the apartment was a little bit of a hassle but overall smooth and worth it. They do a really good job of making the place feel brand new. There is a very modern and clean feel, you will smile a lot because of how nice it is. Their standards are high, very high. The downside is it comes at a cost and management is not afraid to pass that cost on to renters. Know your rights and laws if ethics and cost are a concern. If cost and ethics aren’t an issue then you will have no issues at all. It’s worth mentioning that I did feel uneasy on the balcony at times as it did not feel solid.

It’s a fairly quiet building for the most part, at times too quiet! You will find a handful of friendly people and folk willing to lend you a helping hand and vice versa. At the same time people can be pretty cold. Management is putting forth efforts to create a better community feel in the building with seasonal door decorating contest and BBQ’s (I won a draw at one of the BBQ’s woot woot!). You will definitely feel safe, secure and comfortable here. So much so that you’ll be tempted to leave your shoes outside your apartment door p.s. I did not but others did. I would definitely rent here again no doubt!

We have been living in this apartment for almost two years and I couldn't imagine living anywhere else! The building manager Val is beyond amazing. We have lived in apartments in different cities and provinces but none that have ever come close to being as well managed as this one. Val is so on top of everything. The property is extremely well kept and the building is exceptionally clean down to every detail. Our apartment was impeccable when we moved in and she was so wonderful throughout the whole process. Our building is so quiet and has such wonderful tenants and I know that this is a reflection of Val's management. She is so kind, friendly and professional and always greets everyone with a smile. I can't rave enough about her and this building. I am so thankful as she makes our building such a wonderful place to live.

I have a one bedroom apartment, which I love. It can get warm in the winter, but nothing that has ever been unreasonable or unbearable. Anytime there has been an issue, the manager has been wonderful to deal with. (last year there were pigeons roosting on the eves above my balcony, making my balcony their toilet). All issues have been dealt with in a timely and professional manner. A secure building, I love the fact that it is non-smoking, including on the balconies. All the residents that I have met have been courteous and respectful. Overall a great place to live.
