Quality accommodations with wonderful owners, perfect for a quiet getaway or work trip. Would definitely recommend, can’t wait to stay again!

My gf and I were traveling across Ontario, and stopped in Manitouwadge for the night. Kevin greeted us and was extremely friendly and welcoming. He directed us to a local restaurant, and gave us suggestions for fun things to do in the area. He even built us a fire and set us up with a cooler bag with some drinks to enjoy (we arrived too late to go to the LCBO). Very cosy property, and our room was very clean with all the amenities, and an en suite bathroom/shower. The bed was really comfortable as well. 10/10 would stay there again!

Without a doubt the Number 1 place to stay in manitouwadge. I’ve stayed at the rest and nothing comes close. |Kevin and Rachelle ,who own the lodge, go out of their way to make you feel at home.|At times we have had some issues and Kevin was quick to offer us use of his shop and tools. When your are in a pinch and on a trip, service like this is greatly appreciated.|Kevin is an avid outdoorsman and a wealth of knowledge for the endless local backcountry.|The facility is top notch. Excellent drying area for wet gear. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Beautiful deck with bbq. |The large kitchen area and dining room make it easy to prepare a nice healthy meal. Nice place to stay in manitouwadge || Theres not alot of options kn where to stay as its a small town . We decided the sketchy looking motel was not for us and our kids so when were at the small restaurant in town we seen a advertisment for northwoods lodge. It looked very nice and seemed priced well . We called kevin immediately he was little preoccupied in town but said he would meet us at his place in 10 minutes. He arrived on time and was the most friendly person we met. He heard our travel story and all the crazy things that happened along the way. He offered us the biggest room in the place so kids and ourselves could spread out and relax. He gave us great price for the room. I am not used to bed and breakfasts so was bit weird layout for me the basement had 2 beds in living room sort of area then private bedroom with bed as well downfall was there was one door that shut and locked on the basement but the other half near kids beds had no door it was removed and doorway had straight access upstairs to kitchen and an outside door also i believe another room across from our open door was being used. So we invented a privacy door using a closet door he had down there lol it worked and made kids feel safer. They are city kids and not used to these things either. Anyways kevin offered to make a bon fire with our kids and show them around. He was excellent with the kids and so kind to us. In the morning there was breakfast its help yourself idea. Fresh coffee and muffins as well. Kids loved muffins and also loved meeting Kevin the owner . The kids are still talking about the experience there and want to return lol . Anyways thanks for great stay.

Our moose hunting group has been going to Turners Northwoods Adventure Lodge for the past 9 years. Our group is large enough (13-14) to fill the lodge for the first week of the moose hunt. We have the entire lodge to ourselves and do all our own cooking. The rooms are clean and comfortable with lots of washrooms and showers. The eating area seats all 14 of us and kitchen is large and so well equipped, including a dishwasher, which is a supremo feature for 14 guys! it has a large deck including a BBQ, and they have boats/motors available for fishing the nearby lakes and rivers. Lots of parking for our trucks and trailers. Kevin and Rachelle are very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and current hunting hotspots. This lodge is by far the best accommodation that we have found. Our group is already booked again for next year! Now that I am retired I plan to bring my wife here on our next trip west to Calgary,

Our hunting group has been visiting Kevin at the lodge since 2015 and can't see ourselves missing a year from here forward. Great accommodations very close to the action. Always greeted on day one by the owners and checked in on often (only a call away if anything is needed). The lodge is always clean and is a great place to warm up after a long day hunting.

If you're looking for a real northwestern Ontario experience then this is the place for you! Kevin and Rachelle are wonderful hosts and throw open their huge traditional kitchen for you every time. Have a seat and expect to be there for a while! :-)||||If you want to learn about NW Ontario from a couple of experts, they'll teach you. Close to the bush, fishing/ canoeing and just outside of town. Especially good location if you've got a large group/ family or if you want to park a trailer.

Was over there for work, didn't realize I would be eating three fantastic home cooked meals a day. Very cozy room, always hot coffee. Very gracious hosts, I would head back on my own time for sure. Such a beatiful town, heaps of lakes around.
