Carlo Melo, where do I start? We are first time home buyers looking to find our perfect townhome and had a specific list of criteria. We chose a couple areas we wanted to end up in and sent Carlo some listings to show him our taste and style. He went above and beyond accommodating our schedules and fit in as many showings as he possibly could. He was very insightful and really knows his stuff. He was able to pick out fine details about each individual residence that we would have never thought to look at. It really gave us peace of mind knowing that he was looking out for our best interests in finding something that we would love to live in and not come to regret. We ended up picking a home from our first group of showings and made an offer which was accepted in the end thanks to Carlo’s persistence. We currently are living in that townhouse and absolutely are in love with it and the area we chose. Extremely Knowledgeable and Gracious, Persistent, Resourceful and Accomplished. It is not hard to discover that Carlo Melo puts his work and clients first.

With the passing of both our parents and beginning the process of settling the estate, Carlo Melo and other Realtors were asked to provide a Comparative Market Analysis for the family home (an original condition, 1976 custom build). Carlo promptly provided much more than we had requested with comments on how home values increase if updated, and dependent on current market conditions, are sometimes not required. Our decision was to renovate, and this was supported by Carlo's suggestions of tradespeople who he had personally worked with, and who happily surpassed our expectations.

All through the speedy renovation process, Carlo Melo routinely visited the home, guiding us through to completion. Once renovations were done, Carlo updated his original assessments, worked with us to establish a list price and quickly prepared a beautiful listing package -- professional photos and house tour video, aerial drone video, 3-D home walk-through and floor plans proudly displayed our work.

We do not in any way regret selecting Carlo Melo to represent us in the sale of our family home. The home was listed for sale June 27th, 2023 and Carlo Melo went to work immediately marketing the property! In spite of two Bank of Canada prime rate increases in just 35 days, (June 7 and July 12), which negatively impacted the real estate market, Carlo was able to attract and secure an offer just 15 days after the second Bank of Canada rate increase.

To give you an idea of how well Carlo Melo performed for us in this stagnating market, for the three month period from May 11 to August 11, for all of Burnaby, 48 comparable homes with 3000+ square feet were sold.
- from May 11 to June 11, 20 homes sold.
- from June 12 to July 11, 19 homes sold.
- from July 12 to August 11, only 9 homes sold. Our family home was one, of only nine homes that sold --it was the last home to sell during this one month period.

To us, working with Carlo Melo meant we were in the hands of a professional, a man who we could easily trust. On August 6th we asked Carlo to help us sell our parent's rental condo, and he came back with an offer that we accepted in just six weeks.
