We rented a beautiful home in Point Grey, and it was managed by Vancouver Luxury Realty. It was a horrible experience working with this company, and Annie, who was the property manager/realtor was rude, condescending and unprofessional from day 1.

A few examples: we drove an hour across the city to meet her for a scheduled time and she didn’t show up, we were not given keys to all of the rooms so our daughter had locked herself in multiple times and it took the company a month to respond (I sent about 5 emails), the house was extremely dirty when we moved in and there was even urine in the toilet, there were cupboards completely broken off the hinges, our patio deck drain was clogged and about 5 inches of rain water had flooded the whole deck so it wasn’t usable etc. Nothing was done on Annie’s end to make the house ready for move in, especially with small children. Annie and the entire company was so slow to respond and unable to accept responsibility, take accountability or understand our frustrations.

We even reached out to the manager of the company with our concerns and she brushed it off saying, “Some items can take longer as we do work for the property owner and cannot go ahead with items without their input”. I then spoke with the property owners who told me they too found this company and Annie to be awful to work with and wanted me to know that anything that wasn’t done right away was not because they delayed it, but because of the realty company.

We’re reasonable people and have had wonderful experiences renting high end homes in Toronto and Vancouver over the last decade. We’ve never had any issues like this. I highly recommend looking elsewhere and not getting involved with this company. Clearly the many poor reviews (which sound similar to ours) and the 3.7 on Google prove that this is not a company you want to work with. Also to VLR, if you’re going to respond and refute the above, please at least spell check your responses so they’re coherent (unlike the responses to other reviews).

The team at Vancouver Luxury Realty have been amazing to work with. Super responsive, always on top of things, and they really care about keeping everything running smoothly. If you need someone to manage your property hassle-free, these guys are the ones to call. Highly recommend!
