Let me start my review with the key statement – Wendy Branchaud is the BEST realtor we ever dealt with!!! And we are quite experienced real estate players.
Home selling especially in the buyer market could be incredibly stressful! And choosing Wendy to help us sell our house turned out to be the best decision in our real estate transactions so far. From our first conversation, we knew we were getting a wonderful person on our side, but she exceeded our expectations. After her first visit, when she came well prepared with all the market analysis done beforehand and her walkthrough of the house when she provided us with a few thoughtful and helpful recommendations, we had a solid plan to sell our home. Before we listed, her amazing staging designer made our home picture perfect. Her professional photographer took fantastic pictures for the listing. Our home was priced just right for the market.
Wendy’s professionalism, knowledge, experience and attention to details shined through the entire selling process. We always felt like Wendy had our best interests in mind and were kept well informed about every aspect of the process. Wendy truly is an awesome real estate agent. My relationship with her started almost 17 years ago, when she helped me and my ex husband sell the first little bungalow we owned in Ottawa, and buy a larger house for our growing family. She really impressed me with her aesthetic sense when she staged our house, and with her ability to negotiate excellent deals both on the sale and purchase of our homes. She truly goes above and beyond for her clients, whom she treats like friends! 17 years later, when my current partner and I started looking into an acreage and eventual retirement property, I immediately thought of Wendy, and she came through for us in a big way! She negotiated a very favorable deal on the new property we bought, and she transformed my partner’s place, for which then she helped negotiate an offer over the asking price - and this in what was considered a slow market. Also, her help did not stop with the closing date; when we encountered some issues with the previous owners of our new property she stepped in and worked with the sellers’ agent to promptly resolve them. Wendy also has an extended network of professionals that are connected to real estate transactions: mortgage brokers, lawyers, contractors, insurance, movers, you name it - if you need someone, Wendy will be able to make a recommendation that’s backed on experience. OMG! Out of the blue we called Wendy concerning a rental property. She immediately called back and told us it was gone , but, she sent us 6 other choices and set a date to take us to see all 6. Remember, these are just rentals! Well, we found one and Wendy helped us negotiate the minefield of paperwork and went out of her way to take care of everything else as we were on a short , out of province, schedule. Now 10 months have passed and we started looking for a purchase. Who do we call? Wendy!! Same superior service. Looked at 5 properties, none had the “Wow” factor but Wendy won’t quit. She found a fresh listing that checked all the boxes, booked a showing, advised us on an offer, negotiated above and beyond with the sellers and now we’re moving in!
