Avoid purchasing a property that is managed by Nicor if at all possible. It's taken two winters for Nicor to get our broken car plug-in resolved (and is still unresolved), and we've had to replace our car batteries at our own expense. Getting them to maintain the common area in an appropriate and timely manner is like pushing a wet noodle up a steep hill.

My father in law has been waiting for an oven element since Feb 2024 and has talked to both West Oak office and the maintenance personnel on site eight times. Still not action.

I rented with them for three months before I got fed up and left. They promised a bunch of repairs before we moved in and nothing ever got done. We had someone break the window beside our door handle and nobody ever came out to fix it or even returned my calls or texts, it is still broken and it's been about a month.
