I hate leaving bad reviews, but this situation really needs to be addressed. When I shared my concerns, they were ignored and passed along without any resolution. I have an assigned parking stall, with the vehicle plate information linked to it, which my daughter was using for her SUV that was gifted to her after her grandfather’s passing. The SUV was parked with a flat tire while she saved up for repairs, insurance, and registration. Instead of speaking directly to their neighbor, a tenant called by-law, resulting in the SUV being towed. While we were able to locate the vehicle and the fee was waived, the real issue came when Avenue Living admitted they're unable to provide any information about the stall registration.

Avenue Living informed me that even if by-law had contacted them, they wouldn't have been able to identify the owner of the stall or vehicle due to separate systems. I suggested they merge these systems or at least make this information more accessible in situations like this, and was told it would be brought to management’s attention. However, when I followed up, all management could say was to 'call the police' about a missing vehicle; completely unhelpful.

In my role at work, I’m constantly striving to solve problems and improve efficiency, so it’s disappointing to see such a lack of effort in customer service. This should be a top priority for any business, especially given the number of negative reviews they’re receiving. Let's do better.

The leasing specialist had the move in inspection form already checked off that everything was fine and we did not do a walk through. I was told that the carpets would be cleaned and they were not. I spent 8 hours over 3 nights cleaning the carpets and there are areas that are beyond cleaning. I am not able to sleep in the primary bedroom due to the smell of pets in the carpet. There are 3 windows with broken hardware and one that does not work. Overall, I am unhappy and my leasing agent has yet to get back to me.

Update- The street lamp is repaired, which I am thankful for as it was disturbing my sleep.

Regarding the thorny bush/tree, results were disappointing. The contractor trimmed the branches as well as the treelings along the sidewalk. Left the bigger branches next to the compost bin and the smaller ones are still on the ground under the trees. The other treelings along the common area and unit towards the water faucet are still there. Honestly, I am not happy with this job.

We would like to thank Alice Hirtle our new property manager at West Townes in Cochrane. She is a delight to have on board, and we look forward to her get it done attitude 🩷🙌🏻. We were introduced to her when we received notice we were getting a new manager and that we had won free rent in the contest they were running that we had entered. It was a blessing as rent when we started here was $1495.00 in 2020 and now is $2245.00 in 2024. In just mere years it’s almost doubled. The contests are a nice gesture to the increase of rent but we could really use more attention to proper maintenance within the inside of our buildings. Christmas miracles do happen and we are forever grateful for the kindness. We just wish it could happen for everyone. But we will celebrate our win as it truly was a blessing. Looking forward to 2025 and all that it brings and we are Grateful for Alice to have on hand for all our concerns, she really is another Christmas Miracle for us tenants! 🩷🙌🏻 May 2025 bring love, joy and abundance to you all!!!! 🩷🙌🏻🩷 We are off to a great start and we Thank everyone from Avenue Living for this gift 🩷

Peace Within ALL THE ISSUES LISTED TO AVENUE LIVING AND THEY WONT RESPOND

You guys have lied about animals being in this unit (there’s been cats and dogs and my husband is severely allergic to cats and has had multiple allergic reactions)
You don’t deliver the water bill on time
The garbages are overflowing I have proof from July up until now
Avenue living leaving washer and dryers outside by the mail boxes and children playing in them
The unit having floor boards slide all over the place causing myself and my husband injuries , and I requested a maintenance person to be over here.
I had to pay to get the carpets clean and you guys said that it wasn’t your job you already done what you can
Baseboards warped from dog urine
Master bathroom tub not sealing properly water leaks out
Windows not closing properly or breaking due to not being on the hinge properly
Neighbour's disrupting the peace 2 specific units and I’m sure you know who I am speaking about, you gave them an eviction notice and they still didn’t move and when another tenant brought issues to you about that specific unit you kept requesting proof when there are other tenants in here who had witnessed what has been going on and had to phone police. My children and ourselves have not been able to actually enjoy living here it’s been a nightmare. My children have witnessed the specific unit who constantly fought outside one day hitting one another and you guys said ok we made a report and didn’t do a thing up until a month or so ago.
They don’t Living standards for the tenants all they care about is money if you don’t pay your rent, they come after you. They play Monopoly where they charge every unit a different price and it is the same exact outlay (3brm 2.5 bath rooms)

The house is filthy, layers of dog hair Imy fiance jad to clean, one bedroom has no carpet or paint . No cleaning was done at all. Outside is overgrown and full of ant hills and garbage. We are absolutely disgusted and can't even get ahold of anyone about this. We took pictures as soon as we walked in. No one walked us through and just gave us the code

The amount of disinformation at the call center is mind blowing. I was given an entirely different information every time I called, including one person PRETENDING to make an appointment. West Townes leasing specialist does not return calls or emails. Total lack of respect to potential renters time and money.
