Tenant at University Heights for two years while attending UofA. The location of this building cannot be beat for students and those working at the hospital. I have had amazing service in my time here, repairs have been completed promptly, the staff has always been friendly and helpful and the safety of tenants was always a priority. The move in and move out processes have been smooth; I had a long way to travel and Brian went out of his way to ensure I was able to move in a time convenient for me. I would recommend this building as my experience with the Westrich team has been great.

If I could give it 0 stars I would! Impossible management to deal with. Will not return a call or email after they get your money!

After seeing their response I think even lower of them. They are not responding with correct facts. I did not order new furniture that was not the issue. The main issue is we were shown a unit in another building (virtually before moving) and the gym in that building which is very different than the unit we were given. Shouldn’t have been shown something we weren’t getting. Also never moved in and they had a waiting list for that unit but still kept $3500 from us.

Purchased in Ultima during pre-sales in 2012, building was supposed to be ready January 2015, move ins happened mid 2016.

Defective materials from abroad (AC pumps failed throughout the building during summer heat wave - it was 40 degrees inside and developer refused to offer any type of compensation when alternative accommodations were needed, poor craftsmanship (constant requests to fix flooring, cabinets, and fixtures and they didn’t put insulation between the flashing and the concrete exterior) and retail space was supposed to be a flower or wine shop….turned into a 7-11 and became a hub for my vulnerable persons in the community (not an NIMBY issue, just something the developer ensured investors wouldn’t happen).

I feel bad for all of the Ultima owners who weren’t able to have deficiencies fixed within the one year blanket warranty. I was able to get my unit in order and sold it immediately. Safe to say that property has depreciated by 40-50 K, despite inflation and the current market.

Having purchased from other developers in the past, this was hands down the worst experience I’ve had with a developer, builder, contractor.

Save your money and don’t do business with Westrich.

Dec 2022 will make it one (1) year that I have been renting my unit with Westrich. I moved from another Province & the entire process with Kelcey was A-MAZING!!!! Streamlined, professional and also very clear without the worry of being manipulated in a contract that had underlying concerns for a tenant. The unit was clean, the building is maintained and always clean as well (with friendly cleaners throughout the day), the amendments are accessible and working, the area is centralized and worth being in for convenience of grocery shopping and downtown lifestyle living. Kelcey made our move worth it and now she’s assisting to make a friend’s move worth it as well!!! I would and have been and will continue to recommend Westrich because of Kelcey and also because of Winnie!!! Winnie has taken over from Kelcey and is assisting with my friends move & we are all happy!

Took my deposit for the signature tower 3 project for over 1.5 years and then cancelled it a few months before the supposedly delivery date. The frustrating part was they had provided “ZERO” communication on the project cancellation and the refund process: no mail, no email or no call. None!! Instead, I had to contact them every few weeks to get updates and they kept changing the refund cheque date. Like another reviewer put it, I would give them a zero star if I could.

Be aware or just stay clear of this company!!
