An honest review. (It’s lengthy, so “bear” with me. Referencing the bear spray in the room).

Upon looking at this location to stay at for our annual trip, it looks really nice. Worthy of the 4.7 star rating it has gotten. However! Read carefully as the advertisements of the unit you are booking will cause your experience to vary. For example, they advertise things such as “high end furnishings,” “pool, and “private hot tub.” This is accurate for descriptions IF you rent the specific unit that specifically advertises this. Even though you are on the same property, you will not be granted access to certain amenities depending on the unit you rent.

Management company.
It is exactly that. A company that merely manages units that are owned independently. This means the furnishings are going on the owner and the care that they have of their rental unit.
If you do decide to stay here on this property, the lovely ladies at the front desk are incredibly helpful (sarcasm). When you check in, you will be given a FAQ sheet. That’s basically where their usefulness ends. If you have any questions about where things are or what is expected, just refer to the sheet as that is what you will be told to do if you walk to the front counter. Coming from a background in property management, the last thing you want to be perceived as, is burnt out from the work. That’s the vibe we got during our stay. It didn’t help that we felt as if we were lower than our not worthy of their time because we weren’t part of the main property, but whatever (makes mental note not to come back).

I will say they were able to get us in earlier than anticipated but only because the outstanding cleaning crew was already working on the room (sarcasm again).

Immediately upon entering our room, there was a noticeable smell that resembled that of an old home. It definitely did not have that fresh and clean smell despite having just been “cleaned.” (See Dr. Sam Hill’s review on cleanliness).

I feel as if an appropriate description for this particular unit should be something along the lines of “blast from the past! “- Do you miss the “good ole days?” Look no further! This unit comes well equipped with furnishings that haven’t been updated in three to four decades! I realize this isn’t on the property management company but the independent owners. I also realize that we have different preferences for things and clearly our standards were set WAY too high for this place…but with 4.7 stars, can you blame us?

The room likely is advertised as able to hold 4 people. However, given the size, if you have 4 adults in here, you’ll become the best of friends by the end of your trip because it’s so small. Figure 2 people will have back pain from the mattress in the bedroom (better off sleeping on the floor or in a tent). The others will have springs driving into their backs from the pull out couch mattress.

If you made it this far, thank you for reading. This is just my opinion of our experience. Read the advertisements carefully. Don’t deal with the management company as we don’t plan on using this company for when we buy property up here. You’re ultimately better off staying somewhere else considering there are so many options in the village for comparable prices with better customer service and “high end furnishings.” If you want a pre-2000 experience for 2023 rates, this is the place for you.

I stayed @ Whistler Superior Properties for 3 nights along with my friend,

Parking was included!

It was super nice and cozy, the atmosphere was welcoming,

it's so close to Whistler village and market (walking distance),

I really enjoyed my stay, the interior design is cute, it has a kitchen with all necessary items and you can find any item easily!

Just feels like home!

We had a good experience!

Hope anyone else is reading this is going to experience the same as we did,

Stayed for a few nights, the accommodation was good - clean, spacious. Parking was included as well. We went out of ski season, and so it was a little quieter. Nice and close to local amenities and bars etc. The only downside was the deposit that was taken at check-in. It took over a month to refund it back, which wasn't great. I didn't have this issue with any other places whilst on this trip.

We stayed at Stoney Creek Northstar 20 for 9 nights in May and was very impressed with the whole booking process and the property. I had a couple of queries prior to travelling and they were very quick to respond and very helpful with the arrangements for checking in as we were arriving very late ( which turned out to be 2.30am due to the highway closure for a accident ) . The actual property was immaculate and well equipped and was very convenient for the village. The only gripe was due to the holiday weekend we had very noisy neighbours upstairs but it cannot be helped. We would recommend Whistler Superior Properties and wouldn’t hesitate to stay with them again ( maybe upstairs).

We stayed for a week in The Woods #15, a property managed by Whistler Superior Properties. This property is immediately adjacent to a stop for the free shuttle that goes to the base of both mountains making it extremely convenient to have a base of operations for a young family while still being able to get to the ski hill quickly. The condo has all the equipment needed in the kitchen and it’s washer and dryer are a huge plus. Check in was easy and we had no issues throughout the week, though a place to get bundles of firewood or a small supply would be helpful for this rental that only had a wood burning fireplace. The coded lock made for less to keep up with in terms of keys. The heated bathroom and kitchen floors were awesome! We would choose to stay here again without a doubt.

We had a great time staying here at Symphony units. There was a problem at the check in and instead 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom unit, we received a townhouse with 2 bed and 3 bathrooms which we loved it a lot. It was too big for us though 🙂. We had the surprise to get the parking free under the building. The unit was very clean, we had anything we needed to make our stay pleasant (towels, toiletries, kitchen utensils, full kitchen availability etc). We are sure that the 1 bed and 1 bath would have had the same conditions. Outside the building there is a hot tub which we didn't use since we weren't prepared with bathing suits (we did not know that this will be available). The unit is very close to the Marketplace shopping center, Tim Hortons, restaurants. We felt like home and we gladly recommend this property to anyone.

We choose to stay Creekside at Whistler - affordability and easy ski-in/ ski-out access. Whistler Superior Properties recommended The Bluffs and we were very happy with the choice and the service from the firm. Upsides of this location include easy access down to Creekside gondola (often less busy than those lifting from Whistler and Blackcomb); downsides are you'd need to be an intermediate level skier to access the trails in/ out; and you'll either need a car or prepare for a $15 cab ride if you want to visit Whistler for apres. We miscalculated the walk down to Creekside (it's 30 minutes) where you can pick up the shuttle bus to Whistler - ok to do occasionally but not an everyday option.
