Eric Terry is a thief in every sense of the word.

As a "contractor" he will tell you everything and anything you want to hear meanwhile cutting any corner he can, even at the risk of safety concerns to save himself a buck all the while claiming he is the "affordable" option. If you are not watching his every move over his shoulder, or if you do not know what is going on in your own reno/project, he will take complete advantage of that. He is not the most affordable contractor in Ottawa. Well, maybe he is, but you get what you pay for. On any given day he has anywhere from 15-30 ads on Kijiji for every different aspect of home improvement there is, and claims to be a expert and the most affordable in all of them. Even the best, most experienced and reputable people in this industry will never claim to be a expert in every last thing, and sure as heck would not advertise themselves that way. Reputable contractors will tell you what they can do, what there expertise is, and if your project calls for more they will recommend people they know or recommend subbing that work out.

And he is also a thief in the sense, as another person posted, he does not pay his employees . In fact, he has no employees. He hires guys off of Kijiji, keeps them around for a week or two, maybe a couple months at most then disappears and moves on. When he does finally pay he has every excuse in the book why he can't pay the full amount owed, makes you feel sorry for him. And if a employee happens to leave tools in his van, good luck getting them back. If he ever actually does respond to a call/text/email about the pay and /or tools he'll tell you he'll be somewhere and then not show.

Eric Terry is the reason why this industry has such a shady name, why contractors have such a bad rap. There is a lot of them out there, no doubt about that. And as long as they keep getting away with what there doing it will always be that way. So please, if your reading this, thinking about hiring Terry Construction for your project, heed these words I wrote. Do you really want someone like this working in your home? Do your research, get a number of quotes and remember, if your quote sounds to good to be true, it probably is. The cheapest(especially in this industry)most certainly doesn't always mean the best. In fact, knowing Eric myself, whatever your asking him to do you could probably do better and take more care in yourself even if you've never swung a hammer before and only watched a YouTube video.

He is not to be trusted. He is not a good human being.

I would rate 0 stars if I was able. They don't pay their employees and they charge the same as their competitors. Do not hire or work for this company. Hire someone who will pay their employees. Also, it's pretty lame that they have a 5 star rating on here because they rated themselves. That's comparable to liking your own facebook post. Terrible company. 0/10 stars.
