Why has York developments not started their iconic London towers at King and Ridout? The city gave them the ok a year ago. It's so messy looking, just piles of dirt sitting there. Kinda embarrassing bringing visitors to the city centre:(

Very disappointed with York and did not want to give this review but I’m forced to, even though some of the people that I interacted with during my stay at Sofia Yorkville were very kind and welcoming including Sam, Ali, Shaun, Voula, Harris, and Amina. However, I’ve been following up with their head office since more than 3 months upon my move out on Sept. 16th to receive a full refund for my KEY DEPOSIT and all I was getting some very poor justification of why they are charging me (without any legal basis) for ordinary wear and tear according to their own policies and inspections performed. I’m more than happy to pay for any legitimate damages (not due to normal usage) and if such issues were raised and identified during preliminary inspection and with proper notice provided to act on them. To try and push such charges (200 CAD) after 12 weeks (on Dec 12 only) of my final inspection and move out without any communication of such issues during all that time or notice to fix any issue is totally unacceptable, not to mention that issues are related to normal usage only. The only option I have now is to escalate this further with tenant board for only 200 CAD which makes you feel that you are begging for your rightful money so unless such behaviors are changed at York I wouldn’t recommend wasting your time dealing with them as your voice won’t matter to them.

We purchased home in Silverleaf and this developer is just not fixing out broken curb issue, my cars are getting damaged when trying to park in my driveway and water accumulates on it. RUN AWAY from those jokers.

I applied for a unit in one of the new builds and my application was rejected without explanation. When I asked for an explanation of why it was rejected, I was told by the leasing agent "I am not privy to the reasons why applications are approved or declined, nor is the Landlord obligated to provide a reason within Ontario."

I provided all the documentation requested as part of the application, sent the deposit, and maintained all communication in a timely and clear manner. I am a physician, clearly have the funds to rent the unit, and have a strong credit score and renter history. York Developments' handling of this situation is appallingly unprofessional, and with no objective reason for why my application was rejected, all I can conclude is that this is based on discrimination. When I asked for the contact information of whoever reviews the applications, I was told the most they could do is forward an email from me and the office would reply at their discretion.

I will be taking this experience and how it was handled and warning my colleagues and anyone who asks against connecting with York Developments or renting from them.

It is extremely difficult to have a simple conversation with Sue Meddaoui. She does not read your messages properly so she can not reply properly. Even if she tried, she uses voice to text so your address or other time sensitive information will be unreliable just like her.
She does not respect the apartments she is showing either, walking with shoes all over the place. This only started happening after I requested that she give us the times that she is showing our apartment. She loved to be vague and not give me an end time to the showing.
When I started contacting her she ignored my calls, text messages from my number, and tried to only converse with my partner even after telling her to speak with me. She gives out unnecessary information about clients to us like work schedules. She even asked us to show the apartment for her. Like who does she think she is I will be looking into my legal rights as I believe it is harrassment. You should have kept your shoes on Sue. Why would you be so petty just because you are talking to me rather than my partner? If you can give me a reason other than to harass us I'll wait.

Our front lawn has been market 3 times prior to the digging up of the front yard for sidewalks, it has now sat dug up for 2 weeks with no work done in silverleaf. I am unable to get me vehicle out because the trench that is dug for the side walk is so deep it scraped the bottom of my car. York has not responded to any phone calls or emails regarding when the side walk will be done so I can actually leave my home without damaging the underside of my vehicle.
